Great performance and great mix; however I felt formation wise, the Red and Blue Jodis were in the middle the most.

why is the purple jori leaving the stage and having another dancer come on for them? thats f***ing pathetic..get out of here if you cant do the set dont dance...changing dancers inbetween while the sets going on...go get some stamina or dont dance...

I think they did it so that more dancers could participate; its a university team. UK scene isn't equivalent to North American scene, this used to be more common about a decade over here.

To add, TBS was pretty much the only comp back then, so people only had one chance a year to perform.

Looks more like 8 people not just one jodi switching and I think "was" is the important part, there are 4 competitions a year which is plenty for a country smaller than California so there are plenty of opportunities for people to dance.

Been doing a lot of research on the UK scene as I might be coming out to study there next year. Apparently this showdown comp is the biggest show. So I can understand a team switching people up but yh, gotta say it's not the way to do Bhangra. Would hurt a team if stamina is on the score card too so not good for your chances of winning. However, in terms of 4 comps, I heard that one is a live comp so that would exclude a lot of interest, one comes just before this showdown so teams competing in showdown aren't going to compete in the smaller comp. And the next major comp which is Bhangra Wars falls at the start of the college year so if people are only taking part in Bhangra because of college hype then chances are they won't be at that one either. So the calendar is a bit awkward at the moment in the UK.


Coming back on topic, people have pointed out the negative aspect of this set, but what about the positives? This set is maddddd creative, fire gimmick is crazy and you guys nailed jhoomer and props. Your smiles are so natural and genuine and it just adds to the nakhra. Guys in red and black are crazy dancers, guy in yellow (I think he changes half way which is a shame) has mad nakhra and is relaxed in his dancing and girl in pink, that smile from the side stage was just beautiful. You guys could are good, I hope you stop switching people.
