Internet Explorer or Firefox?

i herd that firefox is alot faster than internet explorer.

i was thinking of downloading it, so i thought i'd ask around if its true

which one is faster? ???

Firefox 3 is much faster than firefox 2, which was already more stable, compliant, and feature-rich than IE. Go for it.

Firefox tends to be quicker but a big part is cause the default setting is to cache a lot of stuff. This leads firefox to become a memory whore.

Like Saleem said, this is partiall fixed in FF3, but it still has a leak somewhere and still sucks up memory

I love firefox and haven't used IE for a really long time. As far as my experience is concerned, I think Firefox is faster.

I agree with Chidiya...i have not used explore for a long time
even on campus they have Firefox...so i assume its better

i have a sick analogy with this one, just explained it to someone


iight so put it this way..if you go on a site that has spyware and you are using IE then your driving a motorcycle.....if you using Firefox you are driving a car....suppose the spyware is a wall...now if a motorcycle hits is not only is the motorcycle going to crash but you are going to get injured. but with a car(Firefox) the car will take the hit and you will be alright...Firefox prevents sites from self installing spyware on you computer or any .cab files.

Firefox all the way. I bought a brand new laptop couple like last year and when I loaded IE, my internet was soooooooooo slow. After slowly downloading firefox, the websites came in like seconds, the way they are supposed to load.

Gotta love Firefox. Recently installed the latest version and it's very clean.

I honestly cannot think of anyone still using IE.
