Vic, lemme guess, you had a bunch of fido dollars that you didn't use so you used them to buy ur iphone. And im also gonna guess you're on the old school city fido plan where you're not paying the $6.95 system access fee and everything's unlimited.

What it does is it disables data transfer on your iphone so you wont get hit with data charges. I received my iphone as an upgrade from rogers and I did not want to get a ridiculously overpriced data plan so after many days of searching I found this site. However, after applying the patch you wont be able to access internet unless you are on wifi...but thats fine since there are hotspots literally everywhere these days.

I have the best plan out there. When fido released this plan, everyone started threatening Rogers that if they don't give them free stuff or a better plan, they were leaving to fido. rogers got pissed off and bought out fido. they put me on contract now and the plan is no longer available lol.

anybody who wants to leave rogers for fido can do so without paying a termination fee even if you are say, 3 months into a new 3yr contract with rogers. Since fido is a sister company to rogers, all you gotta do it mention that you want your cancellation fee waived because you're moving within the company. If you don't mention it, you're screwed. It saved me $400 when I had to cancel my contract with rogers when I moved back to san jose. Just went month to month on fido for one month and cancelled fido. that was the end of that. no damage done. lolll don't let them push you off that city fido plan vic, loll they're trying REALLy hard to exterminate that plan. You're not even allowed to sell your contract on ebay or craigslist anymore!

I'm getting an iphone as well a 8gb White iPhone for 150$ but I need to get it unlocked b/c it's from america I believe.
Would anyone recommend the iPhone if I don't want to pay those surplus in data fee's or if I use Remy's thing I'm screwed in the states for internet

i just held the new iphone and it feels soo much better than the old one...i would but it just for the feeling :
I currently have a Helio Ocean which I initially fell in love with. My sister has an Iphone and has been convincing me to get 3g. I'm debating what I should do.
The ocean currently has features that the iphone does not: (please correct me if I am wrong because this may convince me to get the iPhone)
1) qwerty keyboard. I seriously get at least 20 texts a day and use texting to its full potential.
2) gps WITH voice. I drove my dance team to Syracuse and my phone was my friend. really, she talked to me.
3) answer-rings. Essentially, everytime you call my cellphone, instead of ringing, you will listen to either Lolipop, Make it Rain or a random Bhangra song I upload. I can have the songs specific to people who call or have them dependent on the time of day (unknown callers and family can listen to a "tame" song when calling and my girl can listen to "I wanna love you" when she calls ;D)
4) video rings. A video of Kanye West rapping plays every time someone calls me while the ringtone is Bhangra. It's beautiful.
I paid $129 for device and pay about $60-80 on average a month. Is it worth it? Does the iPhone have these features or do you think apps will have it in the future? The Ocean is a buggy device though so I'm considering changing if I can get those features.

im like damn! i like this song! steve pulls out his iphone, turns on some app, records teh music for about 5 seconds, and then the phone has the song's information on the iphone screen
