tru story. this new government is a joke.faizan said:Imran Khan needs to be the Prime Minister, and Musharaf needs to also have a role. Although this will never happen.
Zardari needs to be made "zaleel"
Unfortunately I don't think anything has gone right since the partition. The creation of Pakistan began with violence and it will be difficult to change that tempo to one of non violence. Don't get me wrong, but most of South Asia has its own share of similar problems, the rest of South Asia just seems to not be a concern of the media at the moment.Vick said:Whens the last time shit has been going right for Pakistan? I'm not hating on Pakistan, I know better, but really, it's been a while...
The visions of what Pakistan could become that Allama Iqbal and Jinnah had were noble but they underestimated a lot of factors. Nothing seems to have gone right and then you get players like Zia who pretty much made things worse when it did not seem possible.Kamran786 said:Unfortunately I don't think anything has gone right since the partition. I think the overall idea of having a Muslim state is a bad idea. There should be tolerance and peace no matter what your religious background. I don't know . Maybe things were happening back than which made a religious state the optimal decision.COMTONDAJATT said:The visions of what Pakistan could become that Allama Iqbal and Jinnah had were noble but they underestimated a lot of factors. Yeah looks like India,PK,and Sri Lanka might all take a break for a whileVaRun59 said:bye bye Pakistan cricket
For sure. I don't think Pakistan should have ever existed in the first place. Its creation led to millions of people being displaced and killedKamran786 said:I think the overall idea of having a Muslim state is a bad idea. Cricket has for so long been the peace admist the turmoil going on over there. It was the one way the Pakistani people could take a break from violence. Its not only a sport, yet it has been a way of life and a calming of peace. The terrorists did exactly what they wanted to. No more cricket for Pakistan...at least for the next 10 years. Their co-sponsorship for the 2011 world cup....gone.....VaRun59 said:bye bye Pakistan cricket

attacks in Mumbai, shootings in Pakistan, mutiny in Bangladesh....combine that with Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza....seems the whole world has lost its mind
The creation of Pakistan was much like the creation of Israel. It was on a religious basis and it involved persecuting Most of the Sikhs and Hindus who were indigenous to present day Pakistan. Really a backwards mentality.COMTONDAJATT said:For sure. I don't think Pakistan should have ever existed in the first place. i agree pakistan was created on bad grounds...but is that really to blame for the current problems..after its been whut?.. over 60 years now?? i mean i agree with varun up top that its all due to the incompetence and inconsistency of the government itself..if the country is unified under a religion...they need to act unified...the common people need to realize the only way to raise its standards in the world and to achieve peace is by cooperating with the government..the gov'nt has no power over the people.... if the peopel were united how is a group(taliban) jhust gonna come and take over?? doesnt make sense..they say they are united yet there are as far apart as it gets...rebelling and shooting shots in the air is not the answerKamran786 said:The creation of Pakistan was much like the creation of Israel. They definitely are not united. There is plenty of tolerance. For example Panjabis have a stronger hold on government positions so many Balochis and Pashtuns feel marginalized. So than you have sectarian issues like that.VaRun59 said:i agree pakistan was created on bad grounds...but is that really to blame for the current problems..after its been whut?.. over 60 years now?? i mean i agree with varun up top that its all due to the incompetence and inconsistency of the government itself..if the country is unified under a religion...they need to act unified...the common people need to realize the only way to raise its standards in the world and to achieve peace is by cooperating with the government..the gov'nt has no power over the people.... if the peopel were united how is a group(taliban) jhust gonna come and take over?? doesnt make sense..they say they are united yet there are as far apart as it gets...rebelling and shooting shots in the air is not the answerKamran786 said:The creation of Pakistan was much like the creation of Israel. Yup. Am not too sure what will happen. This whole 'ummah brotherhood' card is getting old too. If there was an 'ummah brotherhood' there would be no marginalization of minorities in countries like Pakistan.Temurzai said:there is DEF no sense of unity in pakistan. and the biggest divide being west vs east. punjab and sindh are technically 'indian' states of origin but balochistan and pashtunistan (NWFP/tribal regions) are not. they are afghan. balochis hav been under represented to this day since pakistans creation, and dont care to be part of pakistan. the afghan lines created years ago pissed off a LOT of pashtuns that endedup on the wrong side of the border, and some in afghanistan have always wanted their land back. that part isnt touched upon by the media much for i duno wat reason, but pakistan covers it up well i guess.
shit is hitting the fan. the divide between the races in the country is insane.
