He doesn't owe you anything. If he doesn't have the time or desire to put your video up, move on. He is doing this out of his own pocket and is not hired by the competitions or owe anything to any team, regardless of where they came from.

It is his website and his work...if he wants to put up random videos that is his choice. No need to publicize your problem.

Nope. I wouldn't be upset if someone didn't put up a video of my team if he recorded it for free and is putting his own time/money/energy into the website. If you wanna pay him to speed up the time between the recording and putting it online feel free...but I doubt you guys gave him anything.

I don't want to start even more shit than what's already happened, but Harjot, we aren't asking you to buy a T3 connection or something, so that the videos can be uploaded faster. We aren't asking you to come to every competition out of your pocket. Yes, what you do is a SERVICE..a completely voluntary service that has completely changed the way Bhangra is viewed on YouTube. I personally think you are the greatest thing to happen to YouTube in the Bhangra world. But at the same time, I do not understand how you can use the fact that you have a family and a life outside GTV and whatnot as a reason to not post/send a team their video. The team which my ex-captain (I personally do not dance with said team anymore competitively) referred to above competed at Pioneer Bhangra 2010 in the end of January. It is now mid-June. If there was time, and connection speed for the uploading of some teams performances one after another, I find it difficult to believe that our video was too much to be uploaded. Teams such as Virse De Waris, Heeray and more, all have multiple videos from this season up. They all deserve their videos to be up, as they put on spectacular shows. But does our team not deserve the same? I know Lavesh very well, and I know he would handle such a matter personally and respectfully, as he did, via email /PM (I'm not sure as to his exact means). I also PM-ed you or sent you a Facebook message, I don't remember which one, and I'm quite certain I was in no way disrespectful.

Again, I know that Harjot may not "owe" us our video, but out of courtesy to our team and our performance would it not be fair for us to see our video?

When you volunteer at a hospital (which I'm sure a good number of us have done since we're all Pre-Med haha), do you do a poor job? Or not provide proper service to that hospital, because you're VOLUNTARILY doing it? No, you give it your all. Volunteering means you have taken the responsibility of doing it.


Every team wants their video up on GTV or even a lesser quality video on YouTube. NO ONE can say that they wouldn't want to have a video of their performance, especially if they knew GTV was at the competition, so please don't even try to say any of that BS (no offense). We didn't publicly say anything rude or disrespectful, but it has been 5 months now..just saying.

So one last time, in conclusion, no disrespect to Harjot or GTV or to any of his work, but I feel as if Lavesh and my points are fairly reasonable and valid, and we are clearly not SHIT TALKING.

GTV doesn't owe anything to Lavesh. Lavesh doesn't have a RIGHT to be mad. But I'm sure all you guys can definitely sympathize with Lavesh. Harjot is truly a blessing to the bhangra community and there is no bigger honour than being on GTV in 1080 goodness (other than maybe smoking a Jeffrey with a werewolf. Hell freaking yeah!). The order in which Harjot has been putting up videos is clearly not a chronological one, which is completely understandable. GTV is NOT an unaffiliated, unbiased, universal documenter of the bhangra circuit - He is simply a bhangra fan who is trying to give back in whatever way he can.

We love Harjot, but before you rip Lavesh a new one, chill a bit out. Put yourself in his shoes. I'm sure you would be a bit frustrated if you wanted to see yourself in 1080 HARJOT-DEFINITION jizzyness, but couldn't rationalize why you were getting blue-balled.

Let me attempt to put this wildfire out... Sometimes when you're saying something over the web, it doesn't carry your emotion properly... it can often times be misunderstood...

Lavesh brother, no disrespect to you, I will PM you and clear this up...

Let me have just one word though... I don't favor teams, or put up videos of one team faster than another... I simply work as fast as I can... Some videos require more work, some less... Why? I do extra steps such as color correction, or audio compression, to give the good output that I provide... Furthermore, If you don't know it yet let me say it now, I lost my job in January and that shifted my entire world around...

I have responsibilities that I still must maintain and I must work harder to be a breadwinner for my family, and my future... This is the #1 reason videos are being delayed, and I ask that everyone just understand... I've been doing this for quite a while now on a stable consistent basis... The one year when things so a little out of line for me, all I can ask is that you understand... If anyone has any issues from here on, please feel free to PM me to discuss this outside of this thread...

As for AD's request... You guys had a good 09... In my opinion, your best performance was @ Bash... The way it flowed was just impeccable... You changed it up @ Bruin and I didn't think it was the same with the live portion in the beginning as opposed towards the middle... You also had Gurteshwar singing @ Bash which was a plus... You girls have good energy so that's always good, and your gimmicks are always unique... Keep that up and I don't see how you won't be a hit the next season... Lastly, AmyDee you need to continue to come out at the beginning of every performance and sing... The way you sing, the way you smile, it grabs the audiences attention and immerses them in the routine... Keep it up!

I think it was a good performance.. honestly after last year's bruin i am def. a fan of jawani! but i feel that the routine kind of got repetitive and needed a change! personally, i liked the performance when it was part live. maybe new outfits (jodi colors?) could help out too! sometimes i think the gimmicks kind of restricted the performance from being better since it seemed as if they were similar to last year.. but i hope to see you guys perform next year so best of luck!

Amy should sing moree..her voice is sick. A couple of the girls aren't quite up to par as some of the others at using sapps. Same thing with khundey. General choreo was fine, but execution was lacking with a few girls.

New outfits are a mustt..make them a little more traditional, in the sense of have distinct jordis. I know that hasn't been your style but I think it would look a lot better, in my opinion.

Good Performance- Alot of small mistakes a few dancers went off beat throughout the routine.

Amy Singer- Not gonna rip her or boost her......but as a singer she knows what was good and what was bad Props for not letting your smile fall once though

Exactly i was going to say that before i read your post. This thread is totally about the jawani girls and there preformance. It is extremely disrespectful to be annoucing your concerns and issues of your personal problems on a thread that doesnt involve your team. Please be respectful to jawani, as they are just as much a team as any other team out there which you stressed in the above.

So on that note i loved this preformance, Amy your voice is wicked you definatly need to start every preformance with a mic in your hands, mad respect to you. You girls defiantly worked hard, and put the time into your formations. You continue to impress me with your work ethic and how it translates to relatively clean preformances on stage. Its this passion and effort that makes you one of the top, if not top, girls teams out there. Continue the good work and good luck at any future competitions
