Actually, Pammi Bai does judge bhangra in india, and I remember he was also in North American to judge a comp or 2 if im not mistaken, about the other 2, ki pata
pammi bai will judge your competition, split up a category with three teams to begin with into two categories, and then give a long speech about how girls shouldnt do bhangra, see: PFDF 2009

In my opinion, pashi and arjun are the best judges on the circuit.
gotta agree with this. also, i was with the judges throughout bdm weekend....and when judging was going on, arjun took the longest to truly be sure he got everything down. the guy is detailed, and considers every element of a set. Also, there doesn't appear to be any sort of bias in his judging.
Truth. Guy was VERY thorough in his judging.

I would stay away from the super traditional judges because they sometimes fail to appreciate the creative & innovative factors and also have a bias against co-ed or all girl teams.

What I've heard from people who were at the comp, he never said girls shouldn't do bhangra, rather he said girls should do Gidha because it brings out their expressions more and what not. Can be wrong, already got into a big argument about this before lol.

Varun, I think youve gotten enough names right now. I think the best thing for your competition would be finding out where these people stand on issues that are prevalent in the circuit, do they judge in accordance in how you want your competition run in terms of placings, and do they bring constructive feedback to teams that they can use for multiple competitions.

All of these people are probably qualified, so I think you just got to find where you want to move in terms of the additional traditional judge.
