its the NEW set but its not Jolly playing, its Ustaad playing,
when i was in india in the summer, i went to meet Chuch Mahi and he was saying how jolly aint gonna play for khalsa college anymore, and that he was gonna play for band baja and stage shows cuz thats where the $$$$ is at, i thought chuch mahi was joking, but i guess he wasnt, ustaad plays different stuff in this vid, he's simple and CLEAN, i dont like like 2 beats he plays :$ but im never gonna tell him that lol
But I guess Ustaad Raj Kumar is BACK (for Khalsa College Amritsar that is)

love the nakhra of the yellow guy in the very start...the set is sick but isn't really that clean like most of the other teams imo...jhummar was the fav part!

yea its not as clean as they are in actual comps, and i dont recognize anyone either, so i was thinking either the WHOLE team is new, or they used spares just for this performance

I feel like this set was a lot different that what Im used to seeing these india teams do. I could be wrong but i got a sense of some north american style coming off with some of the moves like at 8:50 and then the transition from kundey to sialkoti back to kundey (not something ive seen yet with most india teams) then again we all look to these guys for moves so idk

ahahha well this video shows where a few teams got their sets from last year. But yea seems like a 'B' team for them, cause this set was done last year the one with the beginning jhummer and this seems like a junior team trying to pull that off...

I brought this whole competition dvd from India this summer too along with another 6, but i cant seem to rip them onto my computer, anyone have any suggestions? If you help me ill send you the videos hahahahhaha

ustaad kumar plays everything a bit faster than Jolly and more raw... sorta threw me off the entire performance? i love all the old beats from the older video

yea some of the beats that ustaad played, i dont like, but at 3:57 is just a thora, I like how Jolly played this set too, only cuz the set is western to some india teams and Jolly likes doing the urban stuff when he plays, Jhoomar starting was done in 2007 an then the other vid of the finals in 2008, so this is prolly just a exibition or something from last year too

i liked the first video better, i just didn't feel the beats on syall-kotti and phulka in this one. i also liked the old singerrss stylle of singin the boliyan better. overall the performance wass good but it seemed like it was rushed. i loved their old jhummar cuz it was slow and graceful!

yeah definitely like the first video better and it does feel real rushed especially the jhoomer beats...try comparing the two beats and its quite a bit faster in this new set.
