yeah walk the dog was BOSS. love the energy level coming from several of the dancers - others needed to match it, but you guys have come a long way on synchro and everyone looking the same. Some very interesting stuff in this performance and i was entertained the whole way through. i feel like there were too many instances of domino/ripple effect, but the one done in Mirza was cool, as was the jumping on the shoulders thing. I liked the opening of jhummar too. Switching to white kurte was a great idea, keep it up this was a sick performance!

You guys were so sickkkk! It was such a fun routine to watch and the little stunts throughout were nice treats for the audience. I totally agree that the dancers all look so much more in sync. Not totally sure what the blackout was near the beginning, but that doesn't really matter. Great job!

you guys were ill... you guys have come so far compared to when you started, this performance kept me entertained the whole time, mirza segment was one of the most creative ive ever seen, hats off to u guys for pulling that off!

in terms of placing there were a couple of mistakes, but ones that can be very easily fixed... however after seeing DCBC, AEG/SMD and SGPD id have to say they were a BIT cleaner, had it not been for the small mistakes and, like Sue mentioned before, the mix (wasnt really feeling it as much as ur others) it wouldve been a placeworthy performance... dont let this bring u down though, kill the next comp im lookin forward to watching u guys kill the stage again!

PS, this is my opinion but i feel like u guys should bring the old kurte back... i feel like the vardis look like any normal vardis by adding the white kurte

Jesus I heard you guys killed it, but this went above and beyond. So creative and well executed, absolutely 100% deserved to place. I think a couple things hurt you: going first in a show of 13 teams (really blows.), what was mentioned before about the mix (didn't do justice to the hype of the routine), and the fact that you guys fly under the radar a bit which unfortunately matters these days when the bhangra circuit is so incestuous. Don't let it get you down, you guys absolutely ripped it and I can't wait to see you perform this year and definitely bring home some trophies.

Yo this was a mad creative set, well improved from when you guys first started. But like everyone is saying, a little cleaner, and you guys would have def placed!.

O and the flip at 6:55, looks a little familiar .....just saying hahaha, but otherwise well done

i will post a video of that very same dancer doing that exact flip back in an ecu bhangra performance at rangoli or usc aag ki raat of 2007. he has done it at on campus performances every year, and even did it with ecu this past semester at usc aag ki raat, so your blowout performance actually reminded me of him, not the other way around haha

jose hamilton, blasianjh on btf, ftw.

7:03 to the end. blew me away. why? because all of KPGD was rockin sumeet energy.

You guys REALLY impressed me here because, as i've told some of you before, your creativity and complexity of previous sets lead to a lack of cleanliness that held you back. This allowed you guys to showcase that you can DANCE! that having been said, if i wanted to give constructive feedback, i'd say you took one step too many in the opposing direction. bring back a BIT of the complexity of old and this would have EASILY sat amongst the top of music performances for the night (and thus been more likely to earn its rightful placing). I feel cheated because i couldnt see this live.

haha teek hai ji thank you :) didnt mean to come off pissy, just didnt want anyone to think we were swaggajackin ;) my teammates worked very hard to come up with as original of a set as possible, with unseen gimmicks or things done either in a way they havent been done. the flip is probably one of the only exceptions to a thing in our set we knew another team has done, but because its kind of a trademark for jose i thought we thought we would incorporate into this teams and not only ecu's choreography as well

You guys were really clean/energegtic in the beginning, but is started to round off towards the end. the stunts were cool and well excecuted, but it was a lil too much for me. the mix wasnt as hype as other teams', didnt like it to be honest. But, keep working hard, and you guys should place soon! Best of luck!

can you guys be more specific about which parts of the mix werent hype enough? i know for a fact our sound messed up from the ending of dhamaal till the sammi, we couldnt hear it well on stage at all, luckily everyone was able to keep up with the counts/hear the echo from the audience. so there could be some loss of bass etc from that.

also, like nikhil said earlier, all the songs in our mix with the exception of the ending segment after the baggan vich kumde ni morni boli (which is a mix of a few songs) and maybe our bedi song, the rest were live bolis from sets that i had seen india teams use or were pappi gill recordings themselves. we thought since we were bringing a more folk touch to our set this time, we would make our song selection as traditional as possible as well. so if you guys could tell which songs/segments didnt hit hard enough because of the mix, we will be sure to fix them and improve :)

jodis:

purple - alan guan/raj shah
green - vinny (varun) kashyap/akash ganapathi
yellow - harman deol/ashvin kapur
red - jose hamilton/varun goswami
pink - kanwar johal/sumeet jindal
blue - nikhil batra/romeen sheth

dholi - jeetu (jatinderjit singh), G2
mix - AKT productions (sorry for giving you the hardest selection of songs to mix/hype up ever hehe)

thought this was sick! lots of great ideas. used the stage well and you were very uniform in your spacing of members in formations. Pretty damn clean but I guess its next level these days! Good work, i wanna see more.
