We are proud to announce that the date for Las Vegas All Stars III has been finalized for April 30, 2016.

We are planning for 4 categories this year:

Bhangra (Music)
Raas
Bollywood Fusion

and adding this year Bhangra (Live)

There will be 4 Teams per category.

First Place: $1500 Per Category

Good to know that Bhangra will continue to be in Sin City and that they are diversifying it to accommodate traditional bhangra---PROPS!


I do hope that they would be able to have an indoor venue which would help in case of inclement weather!

I would recommend a lot of teams to apply to this competition! I have gotten the opportunity to be apart of this competition as a judge for two years now and they take care of the teams so well and who wouldnt want to go to Vegas!! =] possibly one of the best organization I have seen in a while.

We are Proud to Announce, Las Vegas All Stars III, on April 30, 2016 at the Las Vegas Clark County Government Center Amphitheater.

4 Divisions: Bhangra, Raas, Bollywood, and *NEW* Bhangra (Live) an exciting addition for the Las Vegas Community to be able to experience.

There will be a 1st Place prize of $1,500 for each Genre and only be 4 teams per Division

There will now be a small registration fee for the teams, and we will be providing hotel accommodations on the Las Vegas Strip/Downtown along with Meals.

Deadline for applications has been set for February 15, 2016,

We hope to see so many of you there!!

A couple of answers to frequent questions we have been getting:

1) Open to all teams - Collegiate and Independent, and teams can be all 1 gender or Co-Ed
2) Hotel Rooms will be paid for by the committee at a Casino Property
3) Teams are expected to arrive in Las Vegas by 5pm on Friday

Re: LIVE BHANGRA competition in LAS VEGAS 04.30.16

I'd like to chime in to offer some support for the Las Vegas All Stars organization. They're experiencing trouble locking in LIVE teams.


Live teams:

I've been to this show the last two years, and I can vouch for their credibility. Sure, they've dealt with some unpredictable Vegas weather, but that is out of their control, and the manner in which the situation was handled last year was first class.

Here's the breakdown. April 30 2016, it's an outdoor arena with a pretty nice stage setup. You're guarantee'd a large crowd, very diverse and multi cultural. The sound technicians I've seen at this show are hands down the best, which is a HUGE plus for live teams. On-stage lighting is legit, but the main highlights are the outdoor atmosphere and large crowd.

They will provide you with hotel accommodations (I think 3 rooms per team?) at a casino near the venue. From what I recall, the hotel is about .5 miles away from the main strip, which is good in terms of traffic, but still close enough to go 'turn up.'


The general consensus of the competition aspect is that all competing teams (and winning announcements) will be done in proper time for teams to still get together and go party on the strip. For anyone that follows me on Snapchat, you know that's exactly what happened last year, except you're with your bhangra family. Imagine that!
