What's up with these registrations fees being non-refundable. Way too many rigged comps to have non-refundable registration fees.

Seems like this is how California comps get their funding for a comp. "Let's make the teams pay to dance in front of our crowd and take all the credit"

As a committee full of former dancers, we understand this concern of non refundable registration fees in its entirety however, coming from a committee perspective allow us to explain this. Organizing a competition takes hard work and determination, most importantly a passion for Bhangra. We run our competition with the hope that we can provide dancers an opportunity to showcase their talents, and the opportunity for the community to enjoy cultural show. With running a competition there are many difficulties that arise, one of which is funding. Legacy of Bhangra is held in the Bay Area, one of the most expensive areas in the whole country. We do keep registration fees as one way to raise money for the competition however that is not the only way. We fundraise our other funds by having sponsors, fundraisers, and bashes. We apologize for any inconvenience, please feel free to email us at legacyofbhangra@gmail.com for a further explanation or any other concerns.

Thank you

lol I doubt that's the case bro but several comps(mostly established) are/have been following this path for several years in NA.

Speaking of California, I think the only other comp that does this is Bruin, which is acceptable for various reasons.

@Legacy - a wise man just said . . . "hopefully with that extra money you are able to provide food to the teams rather than giving one box of Krispy Kreme and 1 pizza like last year" -
