Hello everyone! As several weeks have passed from Legacy of Bhangra 2015 we would like to take this time to ask the bhangra community to give us suggestions on what we can do as a committee to provide our dancers with a more functional and comfortable bhangra experience.

We will like to thank everyone that supported our team throughout the planning process of this competition, it would have not been a success with you guys! Looking forward to seeing you all here at Legacy of Bhangra 2.0! Details for that will be posted shortly!
Remember, “Bigger, Better, Virsa!”
For any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at legacyofbhangra@gmail.com

Congratulations to the performing teams! I was watching from the second row, and got super hyped seeing everyone up close. Here are my suggestions for improving the audience's experience:

Ticketing and Entry
A crowd formed since the doors opened quite late. Later on, it became a bit chaotic since the Committee could not accept the Eventbrite mobile tickets and needed everyone to retrieve paper tickets from the ticket stand. I would suggest discussing mobile ticket entry well in advance with your venue contacts for next year.

Venue
After intermission, the auditorium was definitely over capacity, and dancers were being asked to leave. Next year, if you're able to hold LoB in a larger venue, you could reserve a section especially for dancers.

Emcees
Because the emcees spoke in Punjabi for the majority of the show, I couldn't understand the skits and audience games. Luckily, my friend kindly translated for me, and the emcees had solid delivery. As your show grows larger and draws in more diverse audiences, consider making the entertainment more accessible for everyone. (It was fun getting a crash course in Punjabi though. ;) )

Performance Lineup
It would have been nice to know the team lineup beforehand. You guys could either 1) post the lineup on social media or 2) project it in the auditorium before the show starts.

Thanks to the Committee for hosting the show. Hope to see it return next year!

I would like to give a feedback from a judges perspective for the competition. I honestly felt like you guys did an amazing job. For a new competition I think you guys managed to put up an amazing line up and hosted a competition that can be around for a long time. Again, this is all from a judges perspective.

Pros
- The team hotel was really nice!
- Having a judges meeting with team captains through google hang out was a nice touch. It gave the teams a scene of comfort knowing what to expect from us and it helps judges also come together and make sure we are all on the same page.
Overall, You guys did an great job taking care of the judges.

Cons
- As i mentioned to the committee it would be nice that they would provide food for the judges throughout the weekend as well. I know they were able to do this with the teams but being accessible with some food would be great as well. Especially if the judges may not have a vehicle in town or something as such.
- I think the venue was overbooked and people were standing on the sides which I felt could have disturbed some of the people watching the show but I appreciate you guys making sure no one was blocking the judges view.

Overall
I honestly enjoyed being a part of this competition and I think you guys can only go up from here. But don't get to comfortable or lazy, because when you throw one good competition it actually makes it that much harder to maintain it but if you guys continue to do what you guys have done for the first year I think you guys are on your own of being a well established competition in Cali. Great job and keep it up!! =]

special shoutout to Sharon, Aman, Harry, and Lovejot for making sure we always had everything we needed!!
