Life without Bhangra..

So i was just wondering if Bhangra matters to you just as much it matters to me. my life does not feel complete without Bhangra, its almost like a girlfriend that you cant leave( no offense ladies)....but its similar very similar to that if you think about it. My life would totally change if i quit my Bhangra Team, i will miss it i will be sad and it will take sometime to get over it so what does that sound like??? cough''realtionship''cough

Yea once your sucked in its tough to let go, I dont think you can ever quit, you can retire (1, 2 or 3 times), but you'll never stop dancing =)

Why do you think independent teams are formed or people dance on teams who are way past college aged? It's just way too much fun

The vast majority of us would not be on this forum right now if it did not matter to us. I'm not hating, bhangrathug, I'm pointing out the obvious. You made a correlation between bhangra and a relationship. A correlation that actually can be made between any hobby and a relationship. The only thing you have done with this thread is state that you really like bhangra. Asking whether Bhangra matters to us as much as it matters to you only really results in "yes it does" answers and doesn't start up any real thought-provoking discussions. At least, that is my opinion.

I would be really sad, but I think my mom and dad would go crazy with happiness that my dance career was over...and they wouldn't have to hear me go on and on about ..."OMG so today at practice we were trying...but so-in-so was like...". Not to mention they wouldn't find anymore notebooks with formations or lists of best bhangra songs laying around.

Man, I would have so much extra time on my hands, I'd have no idea what I would do with myself...

Couldn’t live life without her cos she is my sole.....jk...lol aha...but yeah bhangra is great. keeps you physically active and we wouldn't be doing it in the first place if it wasn't fun. We all need a hobby and are all better for it as it keeps us tied to our culture.

I agree with everyone, bhangra is great. Especailly here in Toronto, kids watch teams like Nachdi and tell there parents that they want to learn too. Its probably the greatest thing so far to have kids OFF the streets and have there mind more on our culture then whats going outisde today.

as for life without bhangra... ohh god, don't even want to think about it. after every competition when theres some down time, most of our team starts gettin bhangra withdrawal symptoms, which includes randomly bustin out with moves in dorms and dining halls, or droppin verses, but none of us can sing, so that doesn't happen too often. anyways, its the only thing about graduating i'm not looking forward too... :'(
