OYE! kiddan, do you have a midi controller?
Well depends what are you going to do with it? Produce beats or remix stuff?
If your remixing then just go with acid much easier to remix.
If your making beats then logic pro is a beast software! You need kicks, claps, high hats, crashs, etc. Then make a sick beat and then finally use the sequencer to lay down the order.
If you have a midi controller, record melody, synths, bass bam your good to go

Yea pro logic is more of a production software than mixing. Garage band is pretty decent for mixing on macs.

Wait, you should be able to mix on Logic 8 bro, doesn't it include a program called Soundtrack pro 1 or 2 or even 3 in the package?
With Soundtrack pro you can mix with it.
If you want Acid there is a way
You have to have Boot Camp on it, the install Windows onto it and then download Acid for it and whenever you want to use Acid just hit the Boot Camp thing
I've never done this but I seen a video.
Have a word with Faysal, he's got Acid running on his Mac by using a program called Parallels or something
