Who is this M3 Industries? As far as I've seen, there is nothing to be found about this company anywhere. Along with your fb page, no one is on it. If you're trying to host a competition, at least make it credible. This just seems like a hoax to me.

Got in contact with the organizers, will speak to them tomorrow and get a feel for the competition and the planning involved. I don't think anyone on the committee is a part of the competitive bhangra community so there's just a disconnect in presentation and expectations.


Hopefully we can sort it out and feel comfortable enough to add another solid competition to the calendar!

I agree with swi we shouldn't come to conclusions that raj would be another Anil Prasad without proper investigation. Also considering this is the first competetion they are about to host and personally from my experience not alot of people down here in texas properly follow the Bhangra community or circuits and comps. So I believe we should give this guy a chance, I contacted him he said that the 300$ will be refunded to teams that don't get accepted.

the guy holding the comp saw some bhangra dancers at a wedding and decided to throw a comp .. from what ive heard ... no need to bash its just a kid who wants to throw comp after seeing something coool... but its a very horrible and horrific idea to go into something this big without any knowledge

So I've spoken to Raj from Lone Star and we're working on revising the packet and the policies. Expect a new packet soon. He's been very good to talk to and receptive to comments and suggestions. Teams are still assuming all risk here- but I've seen that they're very enthusiastic about throwing the comp. I'm discussing the financials with him and making sure it all checks out we'll see.

Also baljot, each competition is different. Venue rules, Sponsor rules, etc all combine to put some of the policies forward. If they want to go 18+ it makes sense since it reduces risk and liability for the competition, venue, and staff. If you have want to compete have your captain contact them directly and perhaps they can work something out.

I'm sure Raj and his marketing company want to do a good job. I'm excited to see the response generated by teams for a competition in TX! Let's hope everything checks out and teams feel more comfortable.
