Looking For Things To Do In Downtown Vancouver

Hey guys,

I'm going to downtown Vancouver tomorrow. I am going to take a look at the Bhangra.Me exhibit at the Museum of Vancouver. I was just wondering what other things there are to do in the downtown area. Also, its a family trip, so I'm not looking for clubs or bars or nightlife. Just looking for family-friendly activities that would be good for a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks :)

There are a lot of things happening at Stanley Park this weekend ie. outdoor concerts, performances, tons of games and family activites. Best thing to do is take the bus there from downtown, not drive, since parking will be limited. The Vancouver Aquarium is located in Stanley Park as well.

You can also go on the seawall which takes you all along the ocean and English Bay. Rent some bikes and go for a bike ride there, it's beautiful!

Shopping wise, check out Robson Street, Granville Street and Pacific center.

English bay (a beach) is located in downtown as well and it's a nice place to have some fun in the sand!

Gastown has a historic feel to it and a lot of tourist shops (located beside Canada place) & look out for the steam clock there.

Yaletown has a lot of nice eateries & there's also David Lam park there, which I suggest grabbing some take out and having a picnic there!

I'm not sure about the hours, but Vancouver Art Gallery is always nice to check out. And if you have kids with you, Science World is located just outside downtown and an easy train ride away from downtown.

Hope this helps!
