MAC Help/Question

Hey guys,


Sorry to bother but wanted to seek advice/help from you guys about software for my new computer.
I finally caved (or jumped on bandwagon depending on your perspective) and got a MAC. Being that this was a pricey purchase I do not have much money to shell out for the much needed Microsoft Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc). I was wondering if anyone knew how to get these (free ) or even discounted.

mac comes pre-loaded with openoffice.. it's the same thing. you can open/create/edit all word, excel, powerpoint, etc files.

depending on the school you go to (if you even go to school).. some (like mine) offer it for free. so check your school too..


otherwise torrents is the only way
