Manchester United to go public in the US

The Glazer brothers who own Manchester United and the Tamba Bay Bucaneers are moving forward with the decision to make shares of Manchester United Football Club public in the US. This definately will help them raise funds to pay off the crazy high debt that all soccer clubs suffer with sky high salaries for their players and costs of building these stadiums. i'm assuming that non-preferred stock will be on sale because it will be an operational nightmare to make important decisions that require shareholder approval.

any thoughts on how this will play out for Manchester United and if any other european clubs will/should follow their lead?

good way to raise capital...i guess sports teams too r going international like way back when companies did it to get money...i feel as if its gonna be difficult, its a big move n i hope people here will start watching soccer n taking it more seriously

yeah other sports are also following soccer. this has nothing to do with capital raising but the nba may put an age limit on the players eligible for the olympics and then all the basketball associations around the world will hold a world cup for basketball held every four years as well.
