Really really doubt it. From the looks of everyone commenting, it seems as if everyone loves how Bhangra Masti 4 was organized and they think that it was a job well done. Comments like these just destroy all the hard work the organizers did to run a successful competition. You may not agree with some of the placings, neither do I. For example I thought NJ should have placed first in the live category, some believe that PPA should have placed first and others believe that Kohinoor deserved the placing they got at first place. But these are just people`s views, if we have different views from each other, the judges can have different views from you as well. You can`t come out with such a theory of the competition being rigged just because the placing did not match with your liking. As for the girls category, I really liked TAG`s performance but the judges may have seem something in Phulkari to place them over TAG. There will always be placing controversies you can`t just come to the conclusion of the competition being rigged which ultimately makes teams not want to come to a competition, a competition that organizers put a lot of hard work into being successful.

What happened to doing bhangra for fun. doing bhangra cuz it makes us feel connected to our virsa. why is it all about placing at competitions now days. nobody is perfect and everyone has a different point of view. i have been doing bhangra as long as i could remember but it was never like this but now days its all abt placing. not for everyone but deep down teams only care abt what number they got or if the other team deserved it or not, and teams find ways to tell the other team how bad they were. but why?

If a team needs improvement in ur opinion tell them but there are better ways, so that it wont hurt them. criticize a team but what goes around comes around. i just think more and more teams will stop competing just cuz it has become all abt winning. and we just dont wanna give someone else a chance to come forward. i know it feels good to win i cant deny that but when u dont plz dont bash other teams. dont let ego come in ur way ever. And when that happens success will touch ur feet.

im not writing this against anybody or any team, just what i think about the whole deal here thanks.

Review of teams i saw

Music

Furteeley Shokeen- Cd Skipped set started from the begining. Set was w.e. Too many small mistakes. Chadreh showing legs, paghs about to fall, shikeh breaking.

DCMPAA- For your guys first co-ed comp this was really good and clean. Girl in the blue vardi narsty, Gurpreet pannu killed the thari jhummar

Jawani Warriors - Godly set :| Soooo fast and clean good doo doo boys

Virsa- Decent set. The exiting of the shikeh was hella off and looked really bad when they were getting stuck and throwing them off.

WB- Didnt catch them

SGPD- Just saw the video

Girls Category

Phulkari- They had traditional steps. They were really boring and didnt have much formations except circles and two lines. Girls Died out and what not. Didnt deserve first at allllll

AVA Girls- ( might seem biased but its the truth) Girls Ripped a new one in to the comp. All girls were ripping through the set as if it was a walk through the park stamina was amazing. Set was clean only one mistake i cought was blue jordi dj starting early on kunde. As for the rest i will let my video speak for itself. Gurpreet Pannu bad assssss dholi

TAG - Fast set. Formations were crazy but hard to understand. REally clean performance. Two girls bumped in the begining, Yellow vardi didnt do the chukeri also went off beat for mirza, Green vardi got up to early from a squat but all minor mistakes. Still legit performance. looking foward to seeing u guys again keep it up

Gajde Gabroo- Good team. I was really surprised with their set wasnt expecting them to be taht good. Big ups to Anooj for stepping and holding it down for his team and Rohit bro get well soon ur a Trooper

Nachdi Jawani- Ill set, jhummar deadly. So clean. only thing i didnt like was red jordi lipping the boliyan :S. DHOLI wow Wow WOW :|

PPA- Sickest team of the night just perfection at its finest. I think your guys speed was proper Did not faha bad any of the actions. legit legit legit legit NANA, Surmeet, Benny, And Gifty you guys are sooooo damn sick

MAD - Horrible :| Dancers were off beat for alot of the performance :| dholi was good though

Kohinoor- Hella Clean and really folk. The band was killer ( I played chimta :$ ) the tumbi guy was next level, singer amazing, and dholi was sick too

i was watching Bankian Naaran from the side of the stage and they looked pretty clean to me, mad folk too..good job girls

Masti was a lot of fun, but i would recommend having an official afterparty next time. I don't necessarily agree with judging either, but judging is always a problem. Here is a brief review of the teams I saw.

Music:

Furteelay: missed it.

Dcmpaa: Folk simple set, could not keep my eyes off the vcu girl in the blue vaardi, she was sick! I noticed some other VCU and Mason dancers in the set as well.

Warriors: Sickkk set. Clean, energetic, entertaining, folk, creative all in one. Definitely deserved 1st place. I was entertained throughout the whole set. Using two props at the same time was sickkk! Look forward to seeing more of you guys!

Virsa: Folk and entertaining as always. Shikke into khunde was very creative, ending was very creative. Crazy formations. Only thing I would say is clean up and more stamina otherwise great job!

Wolverine: I was impressed by this team, cleaned up from blowout and folk as well. Good dancers on the team, everyone seemed on the same level. Would have put third between you guys and virsa.

SGPD: Sick as always. Very energetic, very clean, creative. Was expecting 2nd place for you guys.

Girls:

Phulkari: Routine was veryyy simple and slow but clean. Low on energy as well.

AVA: Singer was horrible, he didn’t even get his words right. Set was alright, choreo looked easy, veryyy good energy though. Killed it with the stamina!

Bankian Naaran: Singer was good, Very folk clean set with creativity. Liked the phummaniyan and jhummar. Cute jordi interaction as well. Mela was good too, only thing I would really say is again, increase the energy.

TAG: Deserved 1st place. Creative and folk set. Lots of movement throughout the set, great choreo and footwork.. I liked the phummaniyan as well and dhamaal, gotta improve the leprechaun kick tho! Haha

Gajjde Gabroo: missed it. Heard about you guys losing a dancer, congrats for pulling it together last minute!

Nachdi Jawani: Amazingg set, dholi was sick, jhummar was insanely sick, boliyan were perfect, 1st place worthy for sure.

PPA: You guys really dance as a team. Really clean and on the same level. Liked the lehriyan on the floor. Nana dholi was sickeninggg! Singer was really good as well. Another place deserving performance.

MAD: Stamina was really low and it seemed like you guys didn’t practice enough but I liked the set.

Kohinoor: Another deserving team. Sooo clean, soo folk. Liked the entry, so chill haha.

SGPD: missed it

HPD: lovee this team. Definitely had you guys placing for sure if the whole phuman mishap didn’t happen. You guys were killin it! Soo folk, clean, great set.

Thank You to everyone for the positive comments and the criticism as well!! We take it in stride.. We are a new team and its a learning experience for us, and either way that we are seen it helps us.. So once again thank you everyone!

for hpd, i know for sure that man when the incident happened, they got mad cheering for them from a corner as i saw. there were just people in the right side of the audience that went crazy. dont know how they know them, but for sure i think many other teams need that kind of support.
