Lebron is still one of the best players.

But this proves Lebron can't lead his team on his own.

Micheal did it.
Kobe did It.
Lebron didn't.

Leave the comparisons for the day Lebron retires, till then, let him play his game and get at them titles & MVPs. ;D

lets be real you cant win a ring on your own in the nba. you need another all star on your side at the very least.

the thing that saddens me the most is that what brings out the best in players is rivalry with each other. i would have loved to see lebron and the cavs go up against the heat and the celtics and the magic. now he is gonna have to defer his talents and chances are he wont be pushed towards being even greater.

on an interesting note. MVP race is wide open now, no way after the media backlash that any of the heat player get substantial votes. stats will drop and the perception will be that they are a super team anyway. i say durantula or kobe win mvp next year with d.rose as darkhorse.

He's a joke, as much trash as i talked about the guy, i woulda given him props if he had won the title in cleveland or else where. But the fact that he has to do it under D-Wades shadow now, he's a joke. No way does he deserve to be considered a high caliber athlete such as wilt, russell, west, worthy, kareem, bird, johnson, jordan, kobe, WADE. Nor does he deserve being considered for an MVP.

At the end of the day, he want's a ring. 7 years in the NBA is alot of time. You're body gets torn up day in and day out. This was straight shitty front office work by the Cavs. Straight up. Bosh, Wade and Lebron planned this years ago when they signed contracts. They've also played together on the olympic team so they know how to play with each other.
I WANT TO SEE THEM DESTROY THE WORLD.

Miami is straight ass clownin.

Seriously, who wants to join me in training for signing with the heat? I can shoot threes, and lets face it, they cant sign dec people to that team.

Im putting this out on craigslist:

Hi,

Hard nosed, defensive maven who can shoot threes with basketball. Will play for league min exception or mid level exception. Likes florida, especially miami. Will love to play extremely gifted pussy(all kinds of it), and is ok with playing with a twig at the 4, and a consistent "did he travel guy" at the two. Is willing to be butt of jokes as long as we win championships with geriatric coach who needs hip replacement(i am indian, know good doctors who can get that hip fixed :) ). Absolutely refuse to play in the following cities: Cleveland or New York due to possible death, injury, or acts of machismo stupidity that my happen in result towards the transgressions of one of my team members(cough...LBJ...cough). On a further note, im a pass first, pass second, and pass third guy. Will wear stilts if team is too poor to sign a big, and will be willing to fly out to africa and other uncharted territories to scout people who will play for 3 bags of peanuts and the ability to watch greatness being bought. Also will promise not to sleep with Small Forwards mother as long her son does not do something overly dramatic in the next...damn, too late.

hahahaha i just love how anytime anything happens with Lebron personally and/or professionally, the majority of the bitches crying foul are Lakers fans.

Lebron gets season MVP- "no!" "WTF" "KOBEE!!!" "BULLSHIT"
Lakers are Champs 2010- instead of being happy, most were going "what now lebron" "thats right Lebron" "kobe>lebron" bla bla bla
Lebron goes to Miami- "omg i respected him till NOW" "hes a fudu" "lebron is over" "hell never be anything" "wades bitch"

Here's a thought: STFU.

How the hell do you become a legend by FOLLOWING Jordan's career?!?! You have to make your own way, go with your own choices, play it your way to be something. The most anyone can expect to be by following MJ is "the next MJ". Whatever happens to him, whatever "legacy" he leaves behind- HE CHOSE IT & he's content with it.

You may now go back to crying me a river. :)

p.s.- Dan Gilbert is an ungrateful piece of shit.

p.s.s.- excuse my foul language. :)

What do you expect? Every Kobe hater out there has dubbed LBJ as one of the greatest players in the league.

When we say that about Kobe, everyone comes back and says "talk to me after he wins as many rings as Jordan"

Lebron has ZERO rings and 1 Finals appearance, but has more hype than any other baller. Yet everyone is ready to say he's the best? How about you talk after he wins a few, hell how about ONE?

So yes, we're going to ardently defend Kobe and dog Lebron, because although Kobe created a some drama and hoopla, he didn't drag his city through the mud and dump them on national TV. He stuck through the rough times in LA, put the team on his back got himself some rings. He was the star child of the city, then was disliked for a while, and has continued to redeem himself since then. It wasn't easy for him, MJ, Bird, Paul Pierce, Duncan, etc but they stuck with it on a single team and eventually they won something. There is something to be said about the mettle of a player to be able to do that.

Lebron is fabulous at marketing himself and keeping the spotlight on himself. Kobe hits daggers on the court, where it counts.

Lebron spent an hour yesterday announcing where he would sign with a team and yes the sports world stood still to listen.

But I'll bet you anything Kobe was practicing jumpers during that time. Silly Lebron, rings are for Kings

If you think that LJ is better than Kobe, you know nothing about basketball and its history.

Maybe you only know Laker fans but fans across the NBA have grown tired of Lebron's bullshit for years. The chosen one, king crap wears thin on people when he has 0 to show for it. He has been hyped ad nauseum as some kind of savior of basketball when the dude doesn't even have a post game. I know fans and people in front offices in the league and he rubs plenty of people the wrong way. Real basketball fan's resent the attention he hogs and the stupid antics he pulled.

The reason Laker fans hate on Lebron is because without any sort or pedigree people have declared him the greatest BASKETBALL player in the world. Kobe has had to deal with the constant Jordan comparisons and is put down by fans for not being Jordan (WHO CAN BE? NO ONE). But Lebron is already anointed as better or on his way to being better by the talking heads on ESPN. Double standard much?

Oh he doesnt have the supporting cast of Kobe they will say. His team had the best record in the NBA the last two years. Sounds like a pretty good supporting cast to me. They did not lose because of a lack of a supporting cast, they lost the last two years because Lebron refused to lift his team. He literally gave up this year.

You guys are quick to throw Dan Gilbert under the bus but do you guys realize that Lebron forced their hand in the last 3 years with trades? Danny Ferry has repeatedly stated that he wanted to build a winner slowly but Lebron was always the one pushing for the quick fix and that put them in a horrible situation in regards to contracts and improper personnel. Gilbert was apperantly trying to get in touch with Lebron right after the season ended and up until free agency but Lebron blew him off. Dan Gilbert is a boss. Buddah Bless Him.

You become a legend in this game by doing something amazing. Will he become a legend in the vein of MJ, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan? No freakin' way. He bailed on a franchise that literally sucked him off, bailed on his hometown and bailed on the challenge of leading a team to an NBA championship. King? More like the Reagent or something.

"What do you expect? Every Kobe hater out there has dubbed LBJ as one of the greatest players in the league."

THAT is the reason most of you have become more of Lebron haters than Kobe lovers?...good to know.

"When we say that about Kobe, everyone comes back and says "talk to me after he wins as many rings as Jordan"

So you guys are so much better and come back and say the same thing to Lebron…hmm.

"Lebron has ZERO rings and 1 Finals appearance, but has more hype than any other baller. Yet everyone is ready to say he's the best? How about you talk after he wins a few, hell how about ONE?"

What bugs you more here? The No rings thing or that he’s loved & appreciated?...did I say anything? I said wherever he ends up, we will know after he retires…its too early to call him The Greatest, but also too early to say he will never be better than Kobe or Jordan.

"So yes, we're going to ardently defend Kobe and dog Lebron"

Keep going, who am I to stop you?! Your bitterness, your negative energy, you karma.

"He stuck through the rough times in LA, put the team on his back got himself some rings."

You forget when he went on that radio station and wanted to be traded? Good thing the Lakers owner upgraded the team and got Phil back to make him stay.

" He was the star child of the city, then was disliked for a while, and has continued to redeem himself since then. It wasn't easy for him, MJ, Bird, Paul Pierce, Duncan, etc but they stuck with it on a single team and eventually they won something. There is something to be said about the mettle of a player to be able to do that."

Much respect to them for doing that, but does that mean every player is supposed to follow their path? They MUST stay at one place if they want to be respected and/or be considered a legit NBA player? I thought MVPs+titles= legacy……forgot to add the extra rules and regulations.

"Lebron is fabulous at marketing himself and keeping the spotlight on himself. Kobe hits daggers on the court, where it counts.
Lebron spent an hour yesterday announcing where he would sign with a team and yes the sports world stood still to listen."

Again, you're mad that he gets attention.

"But I'll bet you anything Kobe was practicing jumpers during that time. "

What does this have to do with anything?...OR he was watching “the decision” and wetting his pants.

"Silly Lebron, rings are for Kings"
Lebron’s nickname is KING JAMES…ironic. ;)
