Redskins, Yankees, New York Rangers, New York Knicks, New York Mets(Notice the New York theme here minus the Redskins),what do they all have in common? Suckage for the last decade with some of the highest pay rolls in the league...

issue is not high payroll, it's paying for stars past their prime (sanders, j.taylor, randy johnson, damon) and refusing to build through draft/minors/farms

How does that point change anything? Its no ones fault but the organizations....I don't understand how Redskins fans aren't up in arms about how many poor choices have been made...I would be frustrated by this point.

we hate snyder and vinny. no arguments there. I just mean that good organizations with high payrolls can do well. In fact the redskins (for 08) were below tenessee, dallas, arizona, pittsburgh, cleveland, buffalo, new orleans, and new york (both)

ability to assess talent is important. Everyone knows an allstar is gonna be good. But by the time you know that for sure they're usually gonna only decline from there.

I dunno, it always irks me when people hate on teams for spending money to try to win. It's not the amount money that is annoying, it's just buying allstars or past-prime players expecting to win that pisses me off about Snyder

Well...at least it has been made clear that the management needs help...Even being a Cowboys fan, I am not all anti-skins...in fact..i hate the EAGLES more than anyone...and I feel in the Eagles..Cowboys fans and Skins fans find a mutual enemy.

I applaud your loyalty despite your frustrations. I am a die-hard Cowboys fan as much as I hated our decision to hire Wade Phillips as our head coach...I remain loyal...so I feel you there.

As much as it hurts me to say it, I like playing with the skins in madden cuz of cooley cpo and the occassional bomb to Santana. But yo your Wrs can't be that small haha and don't bring Trash oops I mean Thrash haha. I like their D as well but yeah snyder makes some weird calls. Then again Jerry jones kept Wade Phillips for another season so I can't say anything

Back to Michael vick...the only logical landing spot for him now is Minnesota now that favre has finally decided that he is done. There are two lame duck, stop gap qbs in rosenfels and Jackson, a great defense, a great oline, and the games best running back, and most importantly, they play in a dome! Vick is terribly inaccurate and he won't need to throw much in Minnesota. What are his other potential landing spots? Maybe Miami (pennington won't be playing with them past this season as they are grooming Chad Henne), maybe Jacksonville (make or break season for garrard), maybe Denver (Orton is not the answer but vick could not survive in that climate), maybe Washington (as snyder does not have faith in Campbell)? That's about it for teams with less than ideal qb situations or teams not committed to a young guy already (oakland, Detroit to name a couple). San Fran is committed to either hill or
smith, that is a definite right now. Read mike sando's NFC west blog on espn and you'll see that there is absolutely no interest in him from the niners, and rightfully so. That at least 5 game suspension is really gong to hurt his chances of even being signed by anyone this year unless someone goes down with an injury, and add to the fact that he hasn't played for two seasons, man, cmon.

agreed sulman, no one will sign till week 4. By that point Goodell can indicate if he's willing to reinstate and some team will pick him up. There's always a chance he could only manage a 1 year contract so wouldn't be surprising if a team picks him up, works him, and trades away at the end of the year.

It's really all up to vick to prove he's useful....there are plenty of franchises who will overlook the negative press in favor of revenue from seats and hype

I was listening to ESPN radio today... GM's want Vick, the fuckin owners are not willing to take the risk... Singletary wants Vick more than anyone, but he's a puppet in San Francisco just like any other coach under the current ownership... He will never be allowed to say it publicly.. The fuck owning our team needs to be shot...
