Another shout out to our two amazing liaisons, Sruti and Saru, who were literally doing whatever it took for us to feel comfortable this weekend! Thank you for everything guys, and hope to see you both soon!

Lastly, a huge thanks to everyone who made this weekend possible for us! Each individual who helped out with putting this awesome set together which required countless hours of hard work and barely any sleep even leading up the performance means a lot and could have not been done without everyone involved! And a special shoutout to all the Mobsters that came out to support us, the weekend was even better with you all by our sides!

Please feel free to leave your feedback of our performance in this thread or by email. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated as we hope to continue to grow and improve! Thanks everyone :D

The set was a great improvement from last year's comp. There was deffo more energy and nakhre.

I love how you have gone more traditional this year and i think it suits you. Wasnt expecting the change in sapps from Wooden to plastic but it worked ( chance to show off the engineering skills of someone lol)

I think the mix influenced how you executed the set. Mad props to Dholi Hardo who's come out with this killer mix. I thought i loved NJWs mix but this on another level!

Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season!

First off, I’m a fan of your style. In a circuit focused on speed, you guys focused on grace. That being said, because you guys have a slower set, you guys have a higher standard in other aspects, like energy.

Energy did improve from before but there are certain things you guys do that looks lazy. During your guys’ dhammal, you guys should be bringing your arms higher (as opposed to straight across like the people in the back did at 5:04 or like football goal posts at 4:45). Another thing is getting lower during chaal/ jugni. Everytime you guys did it, you guys formed V’s with your legs, as opposed to aiming for 90 degree angles with your knees. This was especially problematic at 1:12. It was not only the first drop of the first segment but you guys also spent 8 counts to prep it.

That being said, your guys’ nakhra was on point. This is where you guys excel at. A great example was at 1:37. Taking an extra beat to spin and shining a smile added a lot, making that, at least in my eyes, the highlight of the segment. Another example is the guy in the purple looking side to side at 5:39. He might have just been looking at his right to see if he was in line with the orange Jodi formation-wise, but the fact that he had a smile and flicked his head makes it look like he was doing it to have fun on stage.

Side notes:

I’m really critical about kato segments. Because katos limit arm movement, requiring dancers to entertain a crowd with only their legs, shoulders and face, teams usually don’t pull them off well. I feel like you guys specifically used katos to just drop them and begin a jugni segment. I personally don’t think dropping the katos was worth spending a segment with them.

You guys danced extremely well towards the end of the set, after katos. Your guys’ energy was strongest here. This was especially evident in your guys’ arm extensions; whereas during the middle of the set your arms became lazy at times, it seemed like every dancer extended the most here. Alongside that, grace was maintained. I think the greatest example of this was Aditya. If you guys can dance throughout the performance with the same energy and grace you guys showed at the ending, you guys can really make your name on the circuit last.

So many posts in the fire thread, but not that many on the videos and performances part... How surprising.

I just wanna point out too that the gabroo in the green has an insane level of nakhra. Dude looks like he is having so much fun, like there ain't a place in the world he would rather be.
