Hey guys congratulations on the first place! As a new team in a fresh new scene this is really impressive stuff you're doing.

First off, love the vardiyaan and the mix. Your first impressions are on point. Outfits are super colorful and creative and the Opera House logo on the front is pretty neat. Mix is hot. The only thing that was distracting visually were your chaddran. I don't know if there are any videos on BTF (if there are can someone post them/post a link to a thread about them) on how to tie a proper chaddar, but I would definitely invest some time into it as it'll make your big moments like hitting your khunda chaal that much better when the chaddar opens up without exposing your leg.

In terms of straight execution, there are some basics that you guys haven't grasped yet. Overall throughout your routine, dancers need to focus on full extensions and knee lifts. There's a very evident gap between the strongest and weakest dancer and it's all about posture. Get everyone standing up back straight chest out necks up shoulders back. Extend your arms fully on every move and lift your knees up to your waist on every step.

A couple specific things (but still general). When you guys are playing saaps, keep them at chest level don't let them drop it makes your routine look weak. Same with daangs; keep your thumb flexed, daang extended out in front of you, and standardize where everyone holds it (I've always been taught 1-2 fist lengths from the bottom of the stick). Moreover keep your angles consistent on your spins. At ~2:38 in the Bhangra Project video, the spins aren't clean because some people are hitting different angles than others. Slow the spins down and really emphasize those angle hits. Your jhummar needs waaaayyyyy more grace, and the lack of cleanliness in hitting consistent angles is especially evident here. Clean up the gimmick from 5:06-5:13 it didn't hit very hard/didn't make much sense (for me at least).

I was pretty surprised tbh when I saw you guys transitioned to 20man halfway through and actually pulled it off! Solid work there, when I saw the extra 8 dudes on stage I thought it was going to be messy but you guys used stage space pretty well and didn't lose too much energy in the end. Also loved the ending pose, really stands out from the standard "we're gonna end with our hands in the air and our feet spread shoulder width apart" and was very refreshing.

Overall, you guys did a great job and look really good for where you are. I hope you can take something from what I said because Danny's right you guys look like you had more fun on stage than most NA/UK teams and that's the most important part. Keep working hard you have a bright future, and I hope you can come to NA soon!

Keeping it short and sweet, comment above nailed most of it.

Wayyy smart choreo, really liked the way you put away saaps.
Thought jhummer was a bit disjointed, really overly aggressive, then going into Bhangra, then aggressive again, when it went to the graceful part it felt like the energy dropped. Maybe a change of song to emphasise slightly different moves could have been a good idea.

In general, ability not bad, but as a team you'd benefit from really upping your game in terms of technique and execution, both individually as as a team. I felt like although the routine was fun to watch it didn't have much cleanliness to it. Furthermore, formations weren't nailed, often there'd be at least one person a bit out and you could work to make sure people are exactly in the right place.

Good routine, and congrats on the first place!

I'll focus my critiques on the execution aspect. You have good folk choreo with enough SGPD type moves to keep things interesting, but you guys don't have the folk execution they have to make it all look natural. Focus on getting everyone comfortable with the basic choreo in your set, there were plenty of times when guys were rushing moves or were unable to complete moves because the tempo was too fast for them. What the top teams over here have is the ability to really groove to the music, no matter what tempo it is; they project an air of confidence and swagger without needing to oversell the moves.

General tips: Keep backs straight at all times, extend arms fully (especially when using shikke), keep moving your feet/bouncing shoulders during chaal

-Try doing your routines in a circle when cleaning up moves:this way, you can all look at each other and calibrate yourselves to what your teammates are doing for each move. Also focus on having everyone do the moves the same way (but don't become rigid and robot-like in trying to be in unison!)

Congrats on first boys,

I really enjoyed your routine, especially your shikka and khunda segments. Phumaniya was also pretty sick. The sets coming out of Australia are fire, I enjoy watching this more than most US routines that have been coming out, the only thing you guys need to improve on is execution. Focus on matching each other, and also focus on completing moves. Dont cut short any move you do in bhangra. Imagine youre being judged on any 8-16 beats of a routine and your entire teams fate rests in your execution of that particular 8-16 beats, you have to make sure you execute that portion all out while completing the steps perfectly. Cant wait to see the battles between you guys and BASS, both of you guys are a really talented group of dancers, if you ever need any guidance/help feel free to PM me. Congrats again!

Set was very solid, lots of high energy and high impact moments that were complemented by the mix very well. As mentioned, execution was lacking, but that will come with time, practice, and the advice posted from others above. I actually thought dancers looked more or less the same in terms of execution. It wasn't painfully obvious that there were a couple guys who didn't know what they were doing or anything like that, which was good.

Loved the swagger you guys brought to the first 3 segments. Energy was high, stage presence was through the roof, especially from one of the pink guys. However, I thought the mela disrupted the flow of the set a bit. I felt as if it was an obvious break for everyone on stage, along with the blackout towards the end and some of the prop drop-offs. Felt like dancers were lazy during those transitions and it took away from the overall performance a bit. Going 20 at the end was a great concept, but i think with stronger execution it would have hit harder.

I think if you guys up the dancing ability a bit, clean up some of the angles/hand placements/etc., and take out some of those "rest" segments, you could take your team to another level. Regardless, congrats on the placing, looking forward to seeing more from you guys!
