Hey Guys,

Here are our videos from Bhangra in the 6ix and Bhangra in the Burgh X. We wanted to thank our liaisons, Rohan, PK, and Anuja who were a great help to our team - it wouldn't have been possible to make it through the weekend without you guys! Thanks to Dholi Hardo for holding it down with the mix, as always, and shout out to Guntas Dhanoa and Venkat Murali for tying our paggan at the 6ix and burgh respectively. Finally, a huge shoutout to our newest dancer, Alia Khan, who filled in for Burgh on one week's notice.

Please feel free to leave any critiques or feedback.

I'll post an in-depth review later, but what you all did with jhoomer was probably one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Especially with the back stroke stuff - shit was beautiful.

Hey-just my two cents:
Loved the very beginning, it was folk, it was well executed and I thought it was hype. I think you guys might have been better served if it was followed by a more energetic mela. The mela ended up scaling back the hype and energy you guys brought in those first 8-12 beats.
Saaps was pretty solid, like the first formation of moving diagonals and the beat drop.
The segment after saaps I think took away the hype after your saaps, i think that segment would have hit better if people attacked it with more energy. I thought you guys looked a little gased after saaps during this segment.
Khunde was good- thought energy picked up again, liked the drop.
Jhumar was absolute fire, I feel like it is one of the hardest segments to make creative and you guys murdered it. Only critiques would be that after that first drop (where you guys essentially do jhumar backwards) to make the next song sound a bit different, to contrast the slightly different choreo style you guys used.
Liked the dhamaal into jugni-solid formations, solid choreo. I'm a fan of low jugni and wish you guys hit your jugni lower and with a bit more modhe.
Ending song was solid-I think you guys have dancers that are pretty strong and experienced and you guys could have maybe taken a bit more risk to make the ending more memorable.

Opening was excellent, I loved the simplicity. Should focus on hitting moves more crisply and cleanly.

Adding the jhummar to saaps was a little overkill on the slow and graceful start. Then you guys did a saap routine that was medium pace. It should have been master blaster fast to show contrast.

Height differential on blue jodi takes away from the performance, match blue girl with someone closer in height. (but that doesn't seem possible)

Segment after saaps had a lot of fluff and seemed like a filler, every segment matters, don't throw the post saap segment away.

Daang segment needs more complexity.

Jhummar is A1

Your formations after jhummar are too tight, spread out 20% more.

energy was too low at the end.

Have to agree with my others BTFers, the jhummar definitely stood out. It was ultra creative, really held your attention, and performed beautifully. As other stated, one of the best jhummar segments that I've seen in a while.

Some good comments/feedback already mentioned, but I can provide more details if needed. Best of luck the rest of the season MOB Chicago.

Intro- Awesome, very fok, incorporation of the mela was cool in the middle of the segment

Saaps- Could have been faster, agreed with the above comment about creating the contrast between the intro and this segment. The choreo was pretty cool but the drop personally didn't do it for me. Formations were really cool, but it could have been more spread out especially on the drop i think it would've added some power.

post-saaps: Not a huge fan, seemed low energy

khunde: could have been more creative/powerful with choreo, especially on the part when either the boys or girls pop out of the circle. Again the drop didn't do it for me. The drop off was pretty cool though

jhummur was incredible, everything that was said above, hats off

It's always nice to see coed teams doing giddha, the girls nailed it, the lehriyan was really cool too

dhammal- more shoulders, could be bouncier seems a little too grounded

jugni- nice choreo and formations were awesome, people could have gotten lower

ending energy was low

overall: small little mistakes across the board, choreo mistakes, some bumping into each other. In terms of formations, there are some people either flying across stage to make the next formation during transitions. On the other hand when people don't have to move as far, I see a lot of walking to spot. Choreo was for the most part really cool, i would've liked to see some more powerful choreo on the drops. Overall you guys did a great job, good luck in the spring!
