Now that 2008 is coming to a close
What do you guys think were the best movies this year?
My top 3 would have to be
The Dark Knight
Ironman
Wanted

1. The Dark Knight (easily)
2. Man on Wire
3. Kung Fu Panda (haha ok, Forgetting Sarah Marshall)

Fourth one is probably going to be The Curious Case of Benjamin Button or Valkyrie, they look sick.

Other good ones were Wall E, Burn After Reading...TROPIC THUNDER

Is this topic concerning only English movies because Hari Putter was GOLDEN! ;D jk

Nah, but for real.. I agree with your choices for the most part.

1. The Dark Knight (saw it in IMAX.. freakin unreal!)
2. Ironman (the Urdu/Hindi parts were amazing.. pshh, who needs subtitles? Not me! ;) )
3. Wall-E (definitely tops the animated movie charts for 08' .. Pixar is unstoppable)

Wanted would be my 4th pick, but I don't think it's close to top 3 material.

EDIT: How could I forgot to add "Why so serious??" ;D

Just watched SLumdog Millionaire a few nights ago. I would put it on that list. Its a must watch! Step Brother, Tropic THunder, forgetting sarah marshall (HILARIOUS).....ummm what else.......I wouldn't say it was the BEST year in movies. Nothing was REALLY good like stuff from the X-men trilogy or the Bourne Series....decent movies though.

1. Forgetting Sarah Marshall (you are missing out greatly if you have not seen this!!)

2. Dark Knight

3. Caramel (Arabic film that came out in 2007, but came to US theatres in 2008) ... really fun movie

Also "21" was a really good movie too. I think the movies released in 2007 kill the movies from this year.

i actually just read the book that was the basis for Slumdog Millionaire....Q & A by Vikas Swarup - fantastic book, finished it in a few hours, couldn't put it down. Really eager to see the film now.

i'm tryna watch rocknrolla, guy ritchie is a boss

yo ranjit i haven't heard anything about this firm, any idea if it has british elements in it? Guy Ritchie made both of my absolute favorite movies (Snatch / Lock Stock n Two Smoking Barrels) and im wondering if it follows any of those films in any way ...

hey man, ya..it has british elements in it..the story takes place in london and most of the actors are british
it's supposedly another one of his brilliant crime dramas....among the likes of snatch and lock stock...can't wait to watch it
