I would not be surprised if that was the case.

On another note, Bollywood stars are perhaps the most pompous people on earth...it is feasible that he whined like a baby...made a big deal out of nothing..people are searched all the time at the airport...thinking about it as doing your part to prove that profiling is not effective.

Also keep in mind that regardless of the actual incident....his PR is spinning this like mad crazy. India get angry over anything perceived as a 'national insult'

President Kalam was frisked at a gate headed to Newark and the country was pissed. Per standard procedure that is abided by millions worldwide...he was asked to empty his pockets and was frisked. Now apparently he was more angry at the rudeness of the security officials, but again, we ALL deal with that.

India will never progress so long as they keep this baba mentality which allows people with any bit of authority to maintain a class system
