Having danced at this competition in the past, I have had an excellent experience from a dancer's perspective. This year I was able to return to Nashville as a judge and I have to say that the experience from a judging perspective is just as phenomenal. The hospitality that I have received this weekend was unbelievable. I was taken care of by the executive board way beyond my expectations. Starting from when I first arrived, we were booked in a very nice hotel that was very close to the venue that was accommodated for. We were kept up to date throughout the day and all of our questions were always answered in a timely matter. Neha and Annie made sure that we felt like we were a part of the competition and provided excellent recommendations for both food and night life. It was nice because the executive board really showed that southern hospitality as they always found a way to pick us up and drop us off to where our hearts desired and offered to help reimburse expenses when they weren't able to provide personal transportation. The best thing about judging at this comp was the fact that we were allowed to dictate how we wanted to provide feedback to the teams after the competition. In comparison to past competitions, teams have always raised their concern around not having enough time to ask their questions in the judges meeting. Personally, I like to give each team an ample amount of time during the judges meeting to ask questions and to make sure that the teams left the room feeling like they had all of their questions and concerns answered. The board had no issue with this and every team was able to have as much time as they desired. I highly recommend this competition to all teams and potential judges in the future and look forward to seeing Nachde Nashville continue to thrive.

This was my third time dancing at the competition and each time it's blown me away as one of the best organized competitions I have been to. The board is extremely helpful and cognizant of team needs, and board members/liaisons always go out of their way to ensure that teams have the best possible experience at the competition. Like Howie said, the format and framework for judging feedback is absolutely amazing as well--each of the three years, there has been an excellent panel of judges who have given detailed feedback and specific critiques. Because of this judging format, the competition feels not only like an amazing place to showcase the set, but also an excellent source of actionable critiques for collegiate teams to better develop their set/dancers regardless of how much experience they have.

Other highlights are that the show is always run on time, the mixer legitimately provides a venue/format for members of different teams to get to know each other (instead of just awkwardly sitting around and eating), and that the dancers get a dressing room in the same building as the auditorium. Beyond this, the afterparty was relatively inexpensive and was located in the heart of downtown Nashville. The livestream this year was also really well done and had great audio/video quality. Overall, Nachde Nashville is definitely one of the best competition experiences out there--I definitely recommend this competition to any teams in the future looking for a genuinely valuable competition experience.

^Have to agree with the commentary about the judges. Was by far one of the most helpful judges meetings we've had.

Also wanted to give a big shoutout to Deshmesh from Texas Bhangra. Our team would not have looked nearly as good as we did and felt nearly as relaxed pre-comp without your huge help on paghs.
