I see this 90% of the time when I'm blending team mixes into the videos... Some not as bad, and then some just past the point of no return... I understand we all love bass, but distortion sure doesn't make it sound any better...Swi said:Do not EVER let mixes redline....the mix is breaking up really bad and it's very annoying.
thanx for the feedback but wht does redline mean?Swi said:Do not EVER let mixes redline....the mix is breaking up really bad and it's very annoying.
Dhol beat comes in off, but readjusts, so fix that. We only get a few seconds of the actual mix before it cuts off but from those 7 seconds it sounds good, clean it up make it longer and repost

when you are playing the track in your mixing program, and you see the levels pumping, if there is any red, that means that the song redlined at the point. It means you haven't equalized your track properly.shockresist said:thanx for the feedback but wht does redline mean?Swi said:Do not EVER let mixes redline....the mix is breaking up really bad and it's very annoying.

learn about compressorsjasraj93 said:quick question, wen i make my mixes if its not past da redline da mine usually isnt even loud enough at da hall, and i get complaints from people saying make yur mix louder then it passes da redline wuh do i do?
I get this question a LOT. The short answer is that there are a bunch of techniques you can use. collectively, this is what is known as Equalizing (and to some degree, Mastering). Compressors, Limiters, Dynamic Range Equalization, etc. Google Equalization and Mastering and you will get amazing information.jasraj93 said:quick question, wen i make my mixes if its not past da redline da mine usually isnt even loud enough at da hall, and i get complaints from people saying make yur mix louder then it passes da redline wuh do i do?
That's what happened to me once but then I got all figured out. And yes it has to do with compressors.jasraj93 said:quick question, wen i make my mixes if its not past da redline da mine usually isnt even loud enough at da hall, and i get complaints from people saying make yur mix louder then it passes da redline wuh do i do?
