New Dancer in Nyc

[bhangrarookie23]

Hello frendz i came from india and i love folk bhangra. i wanted to know if there are any teams in ny which i can dance for. i used to dance for khalsa college 2 years ago

There is a lot of NYC teams, some collegiate and some independent. If your a university student, try hitting up Colombia or NY University. I don't know what their policy is if you don't go to their university, per say, but it's worth a shot if your still going to school.

Two independent teams there are Virsa Folkstars and Virsa: Our Tradition. Both are all guy teams and are independent. I don't have any of their contact info, but you can try PMing someone from those teams or try the CTL for more contact info.

Good Luck!

if you're looking for folk in new york, virsa folkstars is probably your best bet. they dance on music, but they have really strong dancers with a folk style...i could even see them going live if they could round up a band.
