Seeing this live, from the balcony was WAY different, i feel like this angle doesn't really work that well.. some key things were missed, for example during their kunda segment they... well you'll see not gunna ruin it for ya! ALSO I felt like this stage was kinda small, and teams looked cramped sometimes.. which then results in the formations looking a little sloppy and this happened alot since majority bought a sixteen man set. ANYWAYSSSS, don't worry a balcony view vid will be up sooon right swi :p ?

Nachdi had a great beginning. Very dramatic and well timed. The intro music was dramatic and could have been perceived as cheesy had they not done it so well. One of the first thing that came to my mind as NJ started up their set is: "This team is pure thunder". They dominate the stage with so much intensity and raw power that it really screams: "I AM HERE TO WIN."

From where I was sitting, their formations looked really nice. Their synchronization still needs work though, as I noticed some pretty obvious mistakes that aren't really captured by this film angle.. Their magic trick was really sweet though and added another "wow" element to their performance. At one point, I remember one of the red jodis coming out like a freaking tiger, teeming with energy and ready to absolutely devour the stage. I liked Nachdi's performance all the way until the end, when it suddenly took an awkward turn. Their performance didn't end, it just stopped. They didn't punctuate their performance, they just let it die. Great set that was opaqued by a dull ending.

Overall, it was a good set, but not the stuff of legends. NJ has long been considered one of the best teams in the circuit and, while this performance would have been stellar for a less hyped up team, it is not what Nachdi Jawani is famous for.

I don't get why everybody says this view "doesn't work for them"? I really hate when people say that about any video. Judges can be sitting anywhere, and in any case, people are sitting everywhere during these performances. All aspects of the dance have to be covered to make sure that any view of the dance creates a positive image. Saying that the view "doesn't do justice" doesn't mean sh*t in my book. That just means people are making excuses for what they thought they saw, or believed. I'm not talking about this video specifically, but there are many times when people say this kind of stuff.

Yes, judges can be seated anywhere, but the point is that the judge should be able to see the entire stage and the entire performance. If the judge can only see half the stage, then he/she are incapable of being able to fully judge the entire team and the entire performance. This video is a close-up view of only 1/2 of the stage.

You're right in saying that the team should make sure that someone is able to appreciate the performance from a balcony angle in addition to a closer view... but that's provided that they are able to see the entire performance. Even a judge in the front row is able to turn his/her head to be able to see everything. The video is unable to do that and thus like everyone said, it is unable to do the performance justice. In addition, a video can be shaky, have poor resolution and have insane amount of screaming and thus, according to me, "just would not work for me" in doing the performance justice.
