I know you want to be the first bro, but it happened already. One of the old AEG non-desi guys judged some competition in Canada a couple years back.

there are definitely non-desis qualified to judge, top of that list is danny cadet, definitely helped inspire me to start doing bhangra in the first place and i think he was active from at least '03 to '12. talented dancer, he's seen bhangra evolve and based on the giddha he threw down on stage at BAB 2012 he could prob judge giddha comps too

Joe Campanella needs to be a judge in the circuit at a major competition.

Jose Zuniga judged w me at Jawani Bhangra in Toronto. He did a great job and should certainly try to be a judge again.

Will it ever happen? Debate!
Don't let your ethnicity stand in the way, Jordan!

Go forth and choreograph some respectable sets, think of some dope ideas, train dancers, critique/standardize them into a team, place at some major competitions and prove to the circuit that you, as an individual, not only understands the game, but have been good at playing it well consistently for a while now. That you have an eye for analysis/critique and that you know how to create and contribute to a place-worthy set, so that if you had to, you could recognize one as a judge.

At that point, ethnicity will not matter. What most people fail to realize, however, is that only having experience as being just a dancer, even on well-known teams, or not having a successful run in the circuit, will always matter.
