A good performance, but I expected much better from you guys.

First of all, you guys came into the circuit out of nowhere and left such an impression after your performance at Bhangra Masti. I was expecting and in fact HOPING to see the same routine but just cleaned out. However, your need to change your routine is admirable, but I think I liked your last one much better.

The previous vardiyaan, in my opinion, were so much better. This set is pretty much the same one used by a lot of India teams now (hell, even Spartan Bhangra has angel wings vests), so they seemed really bland compared the last ones. Plus, the colors really stood out in the last set of vardiyaan you guys had. There were parts in your routine where you guys were coordinated really well. However, there were parts, when in comparison, looked like everyone was doing different steps. Some people messed up here and there.

I really hope to see a more aerial view of the performance and perhaps I can appreciate the formations more. Nonetheless, the transitions into formations seemed a bit more forced than natural and graceful. (One of the things SGPD has gotten so good at is gracefully transitioning through formations - you guys still need to work on that). As I said before, I was hoping for a cleaner version of your Masti performance and this was cleaner than that, but there are still a few things you guys need to work on before NYPD reaches the powerhouse status that I personally want to categorize you into.

no he's not stop fucking using that term. and I agree, he was sick, maybe had highest knees of whole team.

overall I really like the performance. Sapps were off a little? The team was together for sure, but it didn't always feel on beat with music, especially right after a pause. Dropping speed by 5-10% would have helped create a bigger impact during the segment.

The other thing I'll mention, since no one seems to be in a critiquing mood, is that all your dancers have a great skill level which is good. But it also means your first jodis stick out less and I noticed more people than I usually do with all guy teams. This is good an bad. Good: everyone gets face time, looks like you move people around in formations Bad: People's flaws show up more.

I'm talking simple things like not kicking out feet in phumanian and just kind of hopping instead. Everyone flashes skills here and there, but I saw more than half the team at any given moment not finishing steps, elbows below shoulders when they should be high, etc. The arm movements are not coming through quite right at some points (4:53 for example) and that could be a choreo issue, or it could simply be lack of execution...that's up to you to decide.

This set was really close to being great, but little things I noticed throughout (starting with sapps feeling off by like a quarter to half beat) just kept it at really really good.

edit: re-watching it, I think one thing i'd add is that a lot of your dancers have random arm movements between steps. Like one or two guys will do an extra arm swing before the step. Makes it look sloppy. The formation movement at 6:47 is sort of an example. I really like the guy on left in turquoise doing a big arm thing, but only a few other people do it so it doesn't look as good as it could have been. Most people do a very lazy movement of the arm, but the few dancers who actually bend into the step make it look really good, so if everyone did that that would have been some killer choreo
