singh5327, 2 Seasons, billups will be too old (though he'd still be better than 75% of guards in the league). It's next season or bust for them, because billups honestly glues their team together. I'd pull for them over LA any day. Also, Boston is old but not peaked like the heat were for their championship season. They have plenty of energy, esp for another season at least. After that though, I can see them following hte path of the heat and ending up on the bottom of the league because all your old timers are cashed out or retired.

jsidhu, there is NO way orlando is number one in the league. They have done NOTHING to be any better than last year. Sure VC is stronger on the drive than turkoglu (don't get me wrong, Turk can drive but he just pussies out sometimes i don't understand. over reliant on his shot i guess), but def not a better play maker. Other than that, no major changes for improvement. And like someone said earlier, spurs are something of a tossup but i do find them a bit old. If they can control the tempo of games like they used to, theyll be good. but Noone can control the energy of LA, and i doubt they can slow down the nuggets.
orlando cud be #1 in the league because dwight howard has more experience now and vince carter is better than hedo also jameer nelson is gonna be healthy they have rashard lewis u cant really doubt them that much because they are a beast ball club
first off, orlando is not the best team in the league. They lost a lot of depth, sure they got some help, but hedo was a much better shooter than VC whose like in his 30s. Im sorry even with dwights one exta year of experience he's still not better, all he knows is how to throw it down hard. He has a very weak post game, no hook shot, no bank shot, NO SHOT PERIOD.
The problem i have in believing that the celtics can make a championship run, is that they ARE too old, their whole starting lineup is over 30. Their bench is not as go0d, and they have to stay healthy all together. The older you are, the easier it is to become injury prone (not alwaysz, but it usually happens). I wud def like to see the Nuggets take it all, there a really fun team to watch, nd i cant say i wasnt gunning for them in the playoffs this past season. Hey im not a spurs fan, but im just saying they deserve some credit for the moves they made, if yu really believe the spurs are old nd cant win it, then you need to believe the same for the celtics. But we all know there's only one way to see whose right....let the season play out. =]

I have never seen VC operate on a team as a #3 option. Dwight is gonna get the most looks, then Rashard, then VC. He could be good and fit in well, but I've never seen him take on a lesser role on a team. Hedo may not be the best or fastest player on the court, but he's pretty smart with the ball and very good running pick and rolls. Hedo is more like LO, where he can play that point-forward position perfectly. Not to mention, he's a decent defender. VC puts up points though, but im interested to see how he meshes with the offense in whorlando. If dwight continues to improve his post game and limiting his fouls (comes w/experience, id hope), then i dont think theres a team in the east that can compete with the magic. end of the day, big men can dominate on both ends like no one can
