It's about time he came out and apologized publicly. The prenup situation is this:

If she(elin) leaves him now, she gets nothing. If she sticks it out for 5 years and still wants to divorce, she can get up to $50 million.

What he did was wrong. He's going about the situation as Tiger Woods does. He's going to dominate his addiction and come back to the game when he feels he's ready and break Jack Nicklaus's record.

To prove to those who don't believe him, he needs to not come back for the Masters or the US Open. Skipping the Accenture Match play had no effect. Skipping the two biggest and his two favorite tournaments will. Skipping the Masters at Augusta, a place where he is always the favorite would be huge because everyone is predicting for him to come back for it. Skipping the US Open at PEBBLE BEACH, the place where he previously (2000) set 9 US Open records and smoked the field by 15 strokes would be 100 nails in the coffin.

I agree that he's famous and rich and all that, and I know that over his past he earned the image that he was a great guy, and that all the recent events have completely blown it away, but my point is that regardless of all that, this incident is being blown away to a point that if it were anyone else in the sports world, people would be like, "What a bastard". And a week later it would be done with. But just because it's Tiger, every 2 days for the last 3 or 4 months, (I don't remember when this actually happened) you hear about it. I just think it's getting annoying now.
