why is no one talking about the netherlands?! i mean i kind of like it but does no one else realize like argentina ... they too are the only other team to get out of group stages with a perfect 9 points! i like that they are a powerhouse under the radar of everyone at the world cup. i hope they lift a lot of peoples eyebrows as we get deeper into the stages

lol i used to love off the netherlands too...but they always constantly disappointed me as they had some of the best players in the world and didn't seem to get far in compeitions....until they prove themselves i just can't take them seriously

haha yeah, they have amazing group stages and disappoint heavily in knock out stages, euro 2008 for example and their loss to russia was uncalled for. as much as they break my heart, i support dutch soccer till i die and i have a damn good feeling that this time around somethings going to be different. i don't think you would notice the change, but as a hardcore fan the first thing i noticed at this tournament is their whole new play style. their passing and patience is amazing, a far different look from the aggressive minded dutch we are used to. if they can keep that patience and focus on counter attacks with arjen robben playing at his best, we will be in the finals without a doubt. I BELIEVE! HUP HUP HOLLAND!

I am extremely surprised to hear everyone talking about Japan playing Spain in the other Quarterfinal. Paraguay & Uruguay are the dark horses in this tournament and I am sure one of these teams will make the semifinals. Dont be surprised to see 3 South American teams in the Semifinals.

On a side note, FIFA needs to get one with the Instant Replay or atleast give teams an option to throw 1 Challenge per game so it doesn't cut down playing time. So many refrees have messed up at this World Cup.

Holland/Brazil and Argentina/Germany will create some fireworks.

Nav, what i tell u. i didnt even need to watch the game. I expected a 3-0 win for the dutch, they could have done better, but oh well.
Dutch vs. Brazil. lets see what happens. i have a feeling, it will be a good game, but orange will advance.

How some of you support any other country outside the US is pretty sad (unless you have some sort of national ties with the country), but that''s football here i guess, be an American but root for Brazil or Spain...
