Virsa: Our Tradition, stop chanting your name before our performance. That tradition needs to stop. Thanks. :)
hey, just confirmed with all the members who attended the show, and NONE of the virsa members did that... and there is no need for us to hide that b/c we had openly admitted it in the past when it was done once.
It could have been some fans of Virsa's that took it too far. It's not right, but I'd trust what G. has said, given that he's a veteran of his team and they're under more of a spotlight after throwing a competition and getting into Elite 8. I'm sorry that AEG was harassed, but you guys let the haters hate, and you still did well. Congratulations!

Agreed with kartik. Empire had alot of recycled moves, however I would say that it is their best routine yet. I'm not a fan of the tutting, not a gimmick either for me.

Kj car gimmick didn't surprise me because so many teams have done it, it's just old now.

Girls and guys used the saaps, but for like 10 seconds tops.

Overall, I wasn't surprised by empires routine. Congrats on the first though.

Btw, the performance is posted on YouTube already by someone, that's where I saw it.

Okay so i didnt go to the show or anything... but congrats to all of the teams that placed :) Empire.. I never been a fan of your guys bhangra.. but this routine was really something!! I mean yeah it was the same recycled moves or what not that everyone is saying but your excuation was priceless! Everyone was clean with formations and the way the moves were done according to your style.. The hip hop thing to the jhoomer was sick..intro was fire.. i can easily see how you guys got 1st place at boston GOOD JOB :) Nonetheless the car gimmick has been done by everyone, but your idea was different than any car gimmick that i saw any team do ( KJ, APD, ETC)..try useing a different song though ;p.. Great step up from last year :)

Empire...yayy...finally a new routine! Loved the formations, the gimmicks and the energy level, songs in the mix were a bit outdated, but most have never been used in bhangra routines before....all in all, you guys continue to entertain! Congrats on the Placing! :)

Cant wait to see the rest of the videos!

Okay so here comes my quick winners review:

Empire had me on my feet. Once again, its a style that is different but every element of bhangra was there! As well as the same old. Proper sial koti, dhamaal, jhoomar, fasala, jugni, phumania, and more. They once again started with more flair than any team I've ever seen, ended with more energy than anyone I've seen. Pure unadultered entertainment, with more of a focus on bhangra than I've seen; oh and if u choose not to take my word for it, I quote arjun barua: "they had more grace than I've ever seen from them!". Looks like they were surprising lots of people. Again they may not have been the strongest bhangra team but they had us holding on to the edge of our seats.

Aeg: best dance performance I've seen from them. Dancers looked in sync, and fairly consistent. Lots and lots of gimmick, ill save those for the video. As for the gloves, no explanation, just for fun. Start to finish formations were good. There wasone 5 second segment where one of their baloons at the back of the stage got lose and played a bit of havoc but it was forgotten 10 mins later. Great perf. From these guys.

Wish I could see NYPD's performance again. They were second in the line-up and oh my god, they were acting like the second coming of BMW with all of their crazy khunde tricks, a lot of which were pretty new.

Pretty surprised that SMD didn't place because they had the same crazy energy. Usually you start to see people die out near the end, but these girls still have knees all the way up to their chest the whole time.

AEG was also awesome.. It took you guys so long to set up lol but it was worth it in the end because that balloon popping thing was crazy. And I kept thinking that you guys were gonna do something with the gloves but in the end it was still a nice little extra style touch to your vardiyaan.

With Empire, you pretty much come in knowing that they're going to place somewhere at this point. You know the deal here.. Their non-dancing/non-bhangra gimmicks and formation changes are what sets them apart and just their overall cleanliness pretty much.
