Paki danceable bhangra songs

I have to make this dance for a Pakistani republic day show, and I am having a really hard time finding Pakistani songs that I can dance bhangra to. I have noticed a lot of the dhol beats are different then what I've danced to in the past. I am really dying to find an ustad nusrat fateh ali khan song that hass some proper dhol in it so I can choreo to it. Please anyone who can list or upload some songs that you think might work.

A lot of Abrar ul Haw songs are great, but the dhol beats for most Pakistani bhangra songs are very different. Here's a few; I've got the actual files somewhere if you need them. You could probably make some sick mixes out of them.

I agree with miss OJ.. check out Abrar Ul Haq's songs.. you might be able to find some that are a little less pop-ish sounding.

Also, the last song she posted above, "Main Ni Boldi" by Humaira Arshad is golden. A well recognized song that you can easily coreograph bhangra moves to.


Unforunately, as you both have mentioned, our song beats are quite different than the typical Indian songs.. but if you want to be more folk.. check out Alam Lohar (RIP) & his son Arif Lohar's music (although a lot of their songs are hard to dance to because of they are folk singers, not bhangra artists).

Not pakistani exactly, but you can also do jhummar to "Allah Jaane" by Pammi Bai and maybe mix it with Mussarat Nazir's "Lathe Di Chadar"

and theres always the old punjabi songs (idk if you could really do bhangra to them) by musarrat nazir, noor jehan, etc. and the new stuff by shazia manzoor, faakhir, abrar, jawad ahmed...
