Good catch. If I was a judge, I would dock them for thisArjun said:turned the "wrong" way in sialkoti again!
yea he gets into that spot at 7:48. so either he messed up there and "bided his time" until 8:11 to fix it or it was planned.Ashveer said:Noo, I think the yellow thing was planned...Ive seen it on another India video somewhere...I think its a function of not being able to reconcile the formations properly
I honestly don't think it was planned. I've never seen a dancer sprint across the stage in half a second like that before. At 7:48-7:50 sequence, the dancer in the yellow was supposed to move right, but rather moved left (from the performer's perspective). They were definitely supposed to be in jodis; the reason he choose to cross over in front of the entire team was because at 8:17, they start to perform a set their with partners.Arjun said:yea he gets into that spot at 7:48. so either he messed up there and "bided his time" until 8:11 to fix it or it was planned.Ashveer said:Noo, I think the yellow thing was planned...Ive seen it on another India video somewhere...I think its a function of not being able to reconcile the formations properly

Thanks for the clarification Charanjit. It makes sense for them not to change all of their formations when simply eliminating their mela scene in their new set. It just looks odd to me when they have only one guy sprinting across stage so he can match with his jodi for their next sequence. Nonetheless, you were totally right that it was planned! I should have done my homeworkCharanjit said:The yellow guy going across to the left is planned you can see in these older videos, i think a team would fix the mistake if it actually was not ment to be....If you look at the first video you see at 6:28 they begin the same sequence and end up in a line with the yellow jodi slipt up at the ends with all other jodis next to their partner...they then proceed into a mela....the newer sets dont have the mela so instead changing all the formations before that part they decided to make the one yellow guy go across stage to meet his jodidaar....hopefully that makes sense to all of you
