Lemme preface by saying this is outside of the context of the whole "should have could have placed" discussion.

Great PANJ performance, definitely more jazz and excitement than i remember being in the elite set. LOVED the morni gimmick. Gulab Vaarga flowers eh, havent liked them much ever. Good strong opening, yellow guys nakhreh was great, you could see he was enjoying himself. Others were good his just stood out. Dancers across the board were pretty good, some sloppier than others, but energy didnt seem to be a problem. Execution of moves was pretty standardized, though some people began to cut things off towards the end.

DEFINITELY messy. you guys have had much cleaner sets than this in the past... plus any mistakes in the first segment/when the dance is making its initial impact (red jorhi forgot a behtka) i feel really have a negative impact. You guys went from moments of great energy and grace, to sloppiness and chaos. Work on getting people more comfortable with where theyre moving such that they can MAINTAIN their form and execution (i feel like that is when things got sloppy, phulka for instance, some people were going all out and others not at all) and this set will be much much better and more exciting to watch.

Vardiyan are awesome but my only beef is with the red pink and other purplish colour. They all seem so alike (well in the video at least) and I think if you replaced one or two of those colours with something else, it would look even better

OMG! The opposite kurta/vest color idea is SICK. looks so ill. I have mixed feelings about the giant peacock on the front though, looks super sick and intricate, but i feel like it makes the shape of the dancer/outfit look funny because its so round. not sure how i feel yet... Rest of the vaardi is undoubtedly super sexy

kush is this what you mean by opposite ???
Nishani Bhangra @ College Station Vaisakhi

these are their old vardis
the front half of the kurta is one color and the back is another, and then the vest is the opposite. For example, red jorhi, the front of their kurta is white, while the BACK is red; the front half of the vest is red, while the back half is white. The jhoomar picture above shows it perfectly

Alot of new faces it seems, but all solid dancers. Loved your Jhummar song - What is it? You had a strong ending and I think the girl/guy interaction is nice. The peacock design on your kurtas is beautiful. Something different.

In terms of cleanliness, I think it sticks out most with everyone's nakhra. For example, people's torsos would go a different way and people's hands would be doing different things. Everyone should keep their nakra, but keep in mind that the move should still be done in the standardized way. Also, the paagan could have been better- alot of flimsyness which was distracting.

Khush- thanks for the vardi compliment, but no dancer missed a bethak. :p
ah youre right! okay new suggestion, when you have the yellow and red jorhi stand and then join for the turn behtka, either figure out a formation where the red guy doesnt stand out as much (the girls were behind guys dropping in behtkas so they became less noticable) and thats why i thought the guy messed up. Like i see what youw ere trying to go for, and maybe its just me, but why leave room for any judge to make that mistake right? such is the concern when having only a couple dancers do something different than the rest, gotta make sure its noticed.... my 2 cents :)
