Wow, first of all what an amazing comp put on by Harvey and the NP team. As an audience member it was a surreal experience watching the best teams in the country( after dancing on the same stage at Capital 2014). I would like to give my personal opinions on the placings and then review the comp briefly.Placings- Tbh it was very hard to choose between the top 3 and Ankhile as they all smashed it. In my personal opinion Ankhile should have placed if not won. GCC were also deserved winners. They surely did an amazing comeback from 8 man set at Wars last year to the best 16 man set in the UK to date. Nachda Sansaar and AJ were also top notch but waiting for the official videos too. Well done to ASR, BPD and Gabru Furteley for giving all their best and hope for much more from them in the future. Vasda Punjab did themselves proud in their music set as their strength is live. Their Exhibition performance; if there was a live category would have deffo won it for them. All in all good allround show by all teamsReview- There is nothing much i can say which was a negative point apart from a couple. I was in the standard ground floor seats near the back but the sound was an issue for me as i could barely hear the mix (too much bass) If someone can confirm that was it just my seat or it was an issue for everyone. It would have been good to hear the mix as well as seeing the set for the all round expereince. Secondly even tho the show was running a few minutes late but it wasnt a huge issue. To summarise, an excellent competition and please please please we need more competitions like this. Wars committee if you are reading please do not waste money on acts, just get in the teams, showcase them and give the crowds an awesome show.

An amazing night it was man!
I wasnt performing with BPD this year but i was watching them from under the balcony seats, i was stitting around prabhzy were there were a couple of empty seats.
Harvy and Nachdapunjab/naujawani put on a really sick show! Was starting to get tired of the uni only comps, and as bhangra wars was cancelled, this was a perfect way to compensate for it.
There was 1 or 2 flaws which i noticed/experienced, one being the sound system... I don't think the guys on stage could hear the music properly because of less sound and a hell of a lot of bass. The second flaw i experienced was the first interval, which was 10 minutes; there was a massive line of people trying to buy food and they shut the doors on me. I had to argue for a good few minutes stating that it was totally not my fault and then they decided to let me back in.
Other than that, it was a sick night and one to definately remember! TBC set a really good impression of itself despite being put together in 4-5 months!
The teams were pretty chilled out, met and spoke to a couple backstage from NSBC, GCC & Vasda Punjab and we had a lot to share lol. The crowd that was needed was there, they cheered to everything which i guess was a massive motivation boost as all teams pulled out a sick ass set!
The afterparty cannot be described with words; truly a fucking amazing experience!!! Lots of team danceoffs, partying, and most of all... vodka :-* (i stayed sober) the DJ's were pretty sick, keeping the vibe going.. However there was a couple of fights which i witnessed from outside the venue but other than that....
Bloody big well done to Harvy and the team for pulling of an amazing event and big thanks to folkstars lot for making an amazing party to destress!

Just a quick message to say that there was no after-party for TBC. A different comp, Folk Stars, had its launch party on the same night in the same area, but we want to make it clear that it was not affiliated to our competition or the organisers. Only two members of our TBC backstage team went to that launch party (one of whom is the guy running that comp!) When reviewing, please stick to just the show and teams :)

This comp pretty much ran itself. We arrived in the afternoon to be told..."do what you want but be ready by showtime you have the freedom to come and go as you please until 6pm" that's all we needed. We were provided with plenty of water and there were places to get food across the road. Everything seemed to run on time and the live stream backstage was working fine 90% of the time. The few liaisons that were around did their jobs well and kept us in the know. When I suggested adding something to the ground outside so dancers didn't get their feet soaked getting to the stage, this also seemed to be implemented pretty quick so thank you for that. The sound levels were also bang on for us on stage so we had no issues there. Massive thank you to Prabh paji and Vasda Punjab for tying our paghan, easily the friendliest and most helpful team on the circuit. Congratulations to all the teams that performed on the night, everyone stepped up a level from previous years. Thank you again to Harvy and the rest of the TBC committee for holding this competition, I know all the teams appreciated the opportunity to showcase their hard work.
