beast EQ if you don't like the original acid one, FL's parametric2, FabFilter, or ozone's (the most complex).

Heavily vouch for Ozone as an overall plugin though. Before I even put tracks down, I strap Ozone to the master bus. I just like to know what the final product will sound like as I'm building the layers. Adjusting for punch, clarity, focus and soundstage is much easier and more fulfilling if done simultaneously.

Personally, FL's Parametric EQ 2, it does the job perfectly and can get your mixes and beats sounding dope

It is indeed. Sometimes you need to adjust the stereo volumes so it comes in handy to use left/right or mid/side EQ channels which FL's doesn't provide. But 95% of eq'ing I've ever done was through parametric 2.

Secondly, Compression isn't an essential tool to have a good mix. If your mix is well balanced as it is, adding compression will not do a whole lot. It is, however, very useful for a lot of layers as it acts like a glue to hold everything together.

I've never been a fan of limiting but I've seen it used well a few times so if you know its power and features of the limiter, use it, otherwise, you'll just end up crushing your dynamics behind a wall.

+1

Typically speaking, if you want to go for that "Max Volume Mix", you need to either spend hours upon hour mixing to make sure things are spatially where they are supposed to be and eq'ed fantastically before you limit them(I would play more with volumes than the limiter), or use external hardware to get the job done.

ill post 1.7 when I zip them for DBAudio, but I have started "gathering" a lot of these plugins:

Parametric EQ 2 is the best for equalization it shows where the freqs hit which makes it a hundred times easier to eq. In my opinion the mix will never be
"Perfect" You can have a clear good sounding mix just with equalizing everything.. from the song to an cymbal...EVERYTHING should be eq'd

Anyone got any tips on how to install the plugins Mithu had mentioned? I'm trying to install them on my windows to run with Mixcraft & Acid but it doesn't seem to be working. Any help is appreciated.

For fab filter run the installers (if you're using x64 you have too run the installer twice unless you store all you plugins, 32 and 64 bit, into a single location). Take note of where the plug in are installed.

For iZotope do the same.

For desample, place DLL where you keep all your plugins

For ACID in the plugin manager/window you'll see a little green with a wrench on the bottom, click it. Then direct ACID to the folder where your plugins are stored.

Ill make a quick video if you want me too.

@Mithu - I was trying to re-install Ozone recently after having to re-install my windows, but I can't get it to work. Do you think you can help me try to resolve this issue?

Can someone reupload the links above? Cheers

Sorry I dont have the cracked files anymore. I ended up buying the plugins themselves. Just google around you should be able to find them fairly easily.
