^^ I'm sorry, but your childhood was seriously lacking if you don't know what Pokemon is

as always i like to view things from an existentialistic perspective, in this case the balance of power with respect to technology and free will. the human condition is built on relationships and balance of power, technology has allowed us to maintain strong connections even when we are not in proximity with those we are connected to; so as a medium, technology hasn't affected the checks and balances of interpersonal relationship, only made it significantly easier to impact those we are connected to. but technology can also enable us to expose our insecurities, those who have needy personalities may constantly desire interactions with significant others, narcissists use technology to gain validation and feed their sense of superiority, people with control issues may choose to use technology to control others in a manner they may not be capable of in real life. technology already plays a part in shifting balances of power and having negative and positive impacts in peoples lives but what happens when we give control over to technology itself? it could be challenged that free will and free thought have always been unattainable ideals due to the fact that we are all influenced by the information we are exposed to, more so in modern times due to the fact that technology has allowed for people/organizations/corporations/governments to selectively release information to coerce desired responses. the difference in the case of pokemon go is that a person is reduced to an input in an interactive program, once connected people can be influenced to elicit expected responses and behaviors. the game automation has already been shown as being capable of manipulating people's/group behavior in real life, the only question is whether there is a limit to how intrusive this interaction can be? how much destructive potential does a situation such as this have? is there a limit to how much of an emotional dependency people can develop when allowed to gain a sense of fulfillment/accomplishment by virtual means? how does a person maintain free will when connectivity becomes the norm?

Can anyone guess which team will have a Pokemon Go gimmick come Bruin?

While they didn't heavily incorporate it I've seen a Pokemon gimmick in a routine ;D
