Agree, that's the first shikka I ever got, they were good for practices and learning, but I wouldn't rely on them for competitions, etc.
the wood snaps easily, near the bolts.

i no longer make saaps, the only person i'm currently aware of who makes saaps is aalok maan, very very honorable young man right there. really took the initiative to push the plastic saap market further, he's definitely not in it for the money at all. from what i heard he makes all the sets himself, very hard working kid, he doesn't do anything stupid such as making commissions off sets by having his boss's cnc shop make all the sets. he sells his saaps at a flat rate of $45/saap and never accepts money before a set is complete and ready to ship. he always delivers on time and has never left teams hanging for almost a yr, NEVER has that occurred. he most certainly has also never ripped teams off by requesting $800 up front for materials when material for a set only costs $130 and he has never been disrespectful and greedy enough to not return the money for months and then in the end only return half of it. no i've never heard of any of this ever happening.

Thank you so much! I did try contacting him through BTF and Facebook, but haven't gotten any responses yet, is there a better way to get in touch with him?
