I thank dodobird, despite his/her non-popular opinions, for inciting such an intellectual response on all levels from the BTF community. There are many issues at hand, but the arguments have been a mind blast to read.
The purpose of debate is not to have a winner or rather conclude with an agreement, but, rather, it is about education. It is not necessarily about how it will end, but rather the journey and what we have learned on the way. I like turtles. I might be on the process questioning my own beliefs on the matter after reading certain responses, but that's only because I, along with other posters including dodobird, approached this topic with an open mind rather than being dismissive/ignorant about what use it has. I feel that is more criminal than having an unpopular opinion, not that the latter is criminal at all. (Side question: If one is open-minded, does that mean they are by definition, logical?)
