Question for UK Dancers

I noticed that the UK collegiate and independent circuits are pretty separate i.e. collegiate teams and independent teams don't compete against each other (please correct me if I'm wrong).


I was just wondering if there is any crossover between dancers on collegiate teams and independent teams, and if so, how much? Do many people dance independent for Wars and TBC in the fall and then switch over to dance collegiate for TBS and Capital Bhangra in the spring?


The quality of sets coming out of the UK recently has been unreal and I just wanted to learn a little bit more about how y'alls circuit works. Thanks!

Yep there is a lot of crossover between dancers from Independent to University teams. That is an another reason why Showdown teams have such quality.


When you have dancers from GCC, Nachda Sansaar, Ankhi Jawan, Ankhile , JVD going to your Uni then you're bound to have a kick ass team and come out with mad 16 people sets lol

I guess this is the best place to ask this: is TBC happening again? Those vids were nuts and I really want to see some more Ankhi Jawan and GCC

Haven't heard anything about TBC yet from any teams and there's nothing on NachdaPunjab, but there's a TBCu on March 20th with only university teams that might be related/run by the same committee?

Thats right - Capital Bhangra (University Comp), TBCU (University Comp) and TBC (Independent comp) are run by the same Organiser.

I think you need to bump that thread up as the new info is still in the 2015 post, which would make it harder to find. Even I didnt know about the updated details for TBC 16 untill you posted it here
