you guys improve more and more over the years. some dancers are still very weak and need maturity with their execution and style, but its getting better by the competition. keep it up

You guys have gotten way better oh my god. I remember when you guys were Motor City Bhangra Team (at least I think you guys are the same people lol) back in the day and this performance really shows how far you've come. Mix was really good and you guys have good dancers. Don't like to call people out usually but one of your black guys was visibly struggling.

Saaps: Pretty solid. I liked the energy and execution with the instrument. I thought the segment was too long. It kind of dragged on for me and I thought the last 20-30 seconds were not really that exciting beyond the fact that you guys are good at using/extending saaps. I would say either do something cooler to end your saap segment with a bang or just make it a little shorter. Just an opinion though.

Khunde: I liked a lot of the ideas, but this segment was really messy. Really focus on khunde angles and make sure people are holding the prop correctly. I thought the choreo was ok but people were either off on body/khunde angles, not in the right spot for formations, or holding the prop too high or in the wrong place. Really try and clean this segment. Also your khunde seg ended and it was like almost 4 min into the set. I think cutting down on prop segments will allow you guys to execute better and also give some more space to be creative with free hand segments.

Phumaniya: Killed it. Your blue and orange guy were awesome here. No game changing choreography but move execution was on point.

Jhummar: I prefer when teams escalate into hard jhummar (so they go from slow-hard-fast), but I thought jhummar execution was good. I think when you guys hit hard jhummar steps in the middle and then slowed back down I got a weird vibe but overall I like the segment. People were doing moves well and it was hard to see nakhra from this view but they were definitely engaging the audience.

Mirza: I always get worried about Mirza because you need to be precise. I think like 8 dancers were doing everything right but when you have 4 people a quarter of a beat off it really shows in a Mirza segment. I think you guys could definitely do this segment but it will take some more practice and cleaning. Also make sure the transition into dhamaal is cleaner!

Dhamaal: Could use some more modhe but I liked it. Simple, sweet, and well done. Good jugni execution.

Ending: Good job here. Maybe try not to cover people up so much in formation though. I think moves would hit harder if I could see more people.

Overall: You guys were HYPE. I think with a little bit of cleaning and some formation work you guys are going to be ill. I don't expect you guys to agree with everything I said since a lot of it was kind of subjective but if you have any questions feel free to hit me up! Great job!

I watched the MCB performance and have some general comments.

1. I think you guys can make your set more dynamic in terms of pace. i felt like when i watched the performance, there was only really one mode for you guys. slowing down certain segments then speeding back up, if done well, can make moments of your dance have a longer lasting impact.

2. energy- this was a big issue for every segment after saaps. there was a noticeable drop off for at least 4 dancers right after the saap, and only 2-3 dancers looked comfortable at the end of the dance. this is a tough one to fix but it has to be addressed.

3. execution- there were a few stand out individual mistakes, but that happens sometimes, nbd. what can be addressed in practice is the differences in style and timing. Throughout the performance i could point out at least 2 dancers that were doing moves differently (arm movements or even how legs were done) or with different timing. practicing with mirrors even just once a month can help. (i know this can be realllly tough depending on your school or resources)

overall- i thought this was a great performance and your team shows a lot of heart. everyone on stage looked like they were having a blast performing. keep working, apply to a bunch of comps, establish a style and become the best in the game at it.

congrats on a good set and best of luck with any upcoming comps.
I think Yuvraj is getting called out a bit, but I know his shin/knee/ankle was killing him before he went on. Hope you're feeling better bro.

Banti, holy shit you've become a phenomenal dancer. I remember that gig we did together where ya were a solid dancer that someone can have on stage and not expect him to mess up or anything, but being lead and dominating the stage like that was so fitting. good shit homie.

Also Babbu & Chadha :-* <3
