Roping a Bolted Dhol

Hey guys! I have a kaachi paaki taali dhol from nagi, bolted on both sides. I was wondering how do I rerope a bolted dhol?? what kind of rope is the best to use and where can I get colored rope?? Thanks for any help!

If you have a bolted dhol on both sides you technically wouldnt need a rope lol. Im guessing you still want rope for decoration though. So you can rerope it however way you want to since its not going through the holes on the dagga side. Cotton rope is the best kind to use for a dhol because it doesnt slip and holds the tension the best, but once again, if youre dagga is bolted you can go out and find any color/material rope you want and use it.
