Hey everyone,

The Rutgers University Dhol Effect hosts an event every year called "Bhangra Knights" (Not to be confused with the team).
We had the chance to perform there again this year with most of our younger dancers.

If you have a moment, please take some time to watch the video and post critiques.

We also took some ideas from a few teams just for fun, hopefully no one gets offended :p

Bhangra Knights 2013

Thanks,
RU Bhangra

Really diggin the use of saaps near the end of the routine. Very creative. The dancer with the hat was killin it.

Great performance overall! Loved that you guys did sapps towards the end, rather than the usual, where teams do them in the beginning. Expecting great things from you guys in the coming year.

Because everyone thinks it's creative when Empire does it.

Anyway, so this team has a lot of potential. You guys have steps down, though they're unpolished. When I say unpolished I mean severely in need of a tune up. You guys are very stiff at times and it shows in your grace. You look a bit "pointy when you're dancing, it's more of a linear form of dancing as opposed to "unnatural". Now I know there's a connection with AEG and this team and it definitely shows, but it seems like you guys are trying to blend the casual Coed and AEG style which is causing the problem. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with your style per say, though I can't really tell unless it's fine tuned enough for me to judge properly, but you guys definitely need to work on your grace. Also simple things like back straight...work on that double chaffa etc. Also this routine wasn't too complex either, you guys could've taken advantage of that with dancer interaction and there was huge nakhra potential in this set.

You guys did well in this run through, but here are some things that you guys, imo, need/should
improve on. Good luck
