I doubt it would happen,Seattle's in the same boat as Sacramento with no new arena ready to go and the maloofs are broke as hell, anaheim is the only place they'd move because they'd be barely paying to play in the honda center

A person has bought land south of safeco field, to build an arena for an nba/nhl team. There's a chance that the nba will allow the team to play at the key arena temporarily while the new arena is being built..

I head rumors that Seattle was preparing to accommodate an nba team, not sure if true.
BUT, the hornets need to be moved. Have you watched any of their games? Stadium is always empty. I'm talking EMPTY. Plus the NBA owns the team, and probably wants to get rid of em. Hornets are tanking hard, and next years draft class is one of the better ones of the decade. It would be the perfect time for the team to move to Seattle, suck some more, get rid of Kaman/let him expire, and build through the lottery.

As of now, the city of sacramento has followed by everything the nba has asked for. Provide 2 million dollars, to put the move on hold, the city and many well-off donors provided about 8.4 million. The nba asked the city to create blueprints of a new arena, the city does not have to break ground. As long as the money is provided, and blueprints have been created and finalized by the end of the season, the team won't move. So officially, the city has until mid june to come up with a set of blueprints. There is one spot where the arena should go IMO. The old train station when entering downtown, for those of you who have been to sacramento.

They have until March 1st bro. If nothing happens by than, I think Kings will for sure for sure move to Seattle. Also talking about moving Detroit Red Wings to Seattle!!

Yeah, I wouldn't say that I have entirely privileged knowledge on this one, but I know more than most on the topic.

KJ wants nothing more than to keep the Kings. He'll seriously move heaven and earth to make it happen. We're on track to build our arena in time (as long as the parking contracts get going this month, meeting is on Feb 14) and the Kings have complied with pretty much everything the NBA has set for them so far. They're even willing to go so far as to force the maloofs to sell to Burkle if they drag their feet on the deal, since they're in debt to the league to the point where the league could reposess the team if necessary.

In short, if we sell this parking contract (50+ bidders, starting bid is $200m), and that b***h Sandy Sheedy doesn't manage to get enough support to block it, the Kings are staying in Sacramento.

Yeah I have a feeling the kings might pull this through. It will be good for the city. Seattle will get a team either way. I'm looking forward to the conference finals Sea vs. Okc...what a series its going to be...

Fitting that the team who's fighting relocation beats the team that got forcibly relocated. Boom.
