from what i know he had been drinking with much younger guys before the game even started, and this is after the game. and drinking with a kirpan on is hella wrong from what i know.

I'm about to straight take my juthi off and smack you across the face with it (ps. I know him personally, so I can say that). You cannot take the action of a group and say that it directly represents the city. There were many many people who got out of downtown before anything happened and many more that left as soon as they realized what was going on - who's to say that they failed? What about the hundreds/thousands of people who woke up at 6am today to clean those same streets - did they fail as Vancouverites? I think not. The riot was premeditated and if we won it would have been the same outcome.

I love my city and am sure as hell proud of it after what I saw today.

It's really sad. I'll say this:

Anyone who breaks other people's property, or takes part in that celebration by dancing on other people's ruined property, is a no-good cunt. You are the weakest minds, where mob mentality is able to take you over and make you ruin other people's hard work. There is no celebration in that. Period.

It's nice that "real" vancouver citizens came out the next day and repaired stuff. But it's wrong to say they are the "real" van-city. Just google "no true scotsman" for the logical fallacy there. both are part of the city, and the crude part is a stain on the spirit of vancouver.

lemme clarify some things for you in case you didn't know
sardar = male follower of the sikh religion usually characterized by turban/pagg/pagri, untrimmed facial hair, may also carry a kirpan and kangha and wear a kara and kashera. All of these characteristics are meant to be representations of beliefs in sikhism.
just for clarification, i see nothing wrong with the sardar dancing with the gori, ya he looks dumb but he's not doing anything vulgar, but i can also understand how that behavior can be taken offensively because no matter how you interpret it, it's a possibly drunk sardar who is possibly amritdhari(since he wears a kirpan) dancing around in the street with some random(hot) white chick. the images of the sardar jumping on the car on the otherhand do piss me off because that guy is intentionally damaging property in front of a large group of people for no reason, i dont see any way that couldnt reflect badly on sardars. is it unfair to expect sardars to behave in a decent manner all of the time? i dont think so, dont blame us for expecting sardars to live up to a certain standard, blame Guru Gobind Singh Ji for setting the standard.

The Singh is awesome! What bothers me is the guys making the video. At 0:09 u hear them saying "the Gyani is gonna get knocked out!" and not doing anything about it when Uncle ji is risking his own safety to help another person. He deserves commendation for what was captured on this video, not condemnation.
