AVAP looks like it has a smaller stage and the were a little crowed. So do smaller stages help the teams with 8 people on it because there wouldn't be as much empty space?

Yeah I believe so. I think using the entire stage is key. When it looks empty, it seemms less appealing and more chances of noticing errors.
